Re: Channel Migrants

I think it will be a lot worse in the summer time if we dont stop it now.

We need the Navy patrolling the water and sending them back. They should not be bought to Britain but taken back to france.

Can only send them back if in French waters and by looks of things froggies not interested in stopping them why would they be? Best thing we can do is not patrol channel as we have to rescue them so if they know won't be rescued will they still come? If put lot more man power on shore to collect them

Once they reach the shore they are here for good. Patrol the water and dont let them reach land. Leave them out at sea if needs be or this country is going to be finished as they will not stop coming.

No access
No benefits
No housing

If they reach land lock them up and deport on next available plane

Our citys are jam packed as it is, our NHS is overrun and we have a housing shortage.

Agree but under international law no one is allowed to ignore someone in distress on the sea if they are aware of them? So if we have no boats in channel we wont be aware if them? This is why gvnmt is reluctant to put boats in channel.... And you cannot just deport people without going through protocols but we are a soft touch hence why come here not stay in France ect ect it is getting out of hand and once we leave Europe we should state categorically that only migrants granted asylum will receive benefits ect others will be sent back to country of origin.

Rescue by all means and send them straight back.

Re: Channel Migrants

Wed Jan 02, 2019 7:18 am

Under the current agreement, France is supposed to be safeguarding the channel from their side. So any that get through, should be returned to France.

Rescued certainly, though, totally in humane to suggest they should be left at sea.

After Brexit, the rules might change and France could stop safeguarding that area.

Re: Channel Migrants

Wed Jan 02, 2019 7:22 am

Just read into it a little further and France will continue to monitor the border but want more money.

So in this circumstance, return all migrants back to the French border.

Re: Channel Migrants

Wed Jan 02, 2019 7:55 am

Let them land on shore so they have enteŕed the UK illegally then send them back.

Apparently they get out to sea and then when within range of a British mobile carrier call 999 for a rescue.

Our nhs is understaffed due to cuts and there are plenty of empty properties in the UK. I have no problem with refugees coming here temporarily until it's safe to go back to their country. I don't blame immigrants coming here either and let's be real they work harder than British people.

Absolute nonsense, they may work harder than the 10% of dolies who don’t want to work but generally they are not harder workers. Submarine fully torpedoed up is the way forward.

We can't encourage people to take this risk, so whatever form it takes we need to stop it, the most logical option seems like an agreement with Europe to return them to the country they started the trip from France or Belgium. If they land straight back, without any rights, as they have already reached a safe country.

Rubbish they don't want to work for the NHS, but if they did apply in the normal way, and they have already arrived in a safe Country France!

Mainstream media like Channel4, BBC, Guardian, Independent, observer, Sky, The Mirror etcetc. Is that where you get your news from, is that why you call illegal economic migrants refugees?
Do tell, what is the MSMs hidden agenda?

Not sure why anyone would wish to leave a member country of the prosperous EU and head for a country which apparently is heading towards the abyss. Would make more sense if they were heading across the channel in the opposite direction. ;)

Because we give out money health care ect ect for free! Others don't until get official clearance, until we declare all financial benefits are not available until then we won't stop this incoming tide. Once we leave EU we can do that but wonder if we've got the balls to do so? :old:
