Neil Warnock joked that Cardiff City need more people like Victor Camarasa's girlfriend to persuade top players to join the Bluebirds in January.
Camarasa has been a shining light for Warnock since signing on loan from Real Betis for the season, scoring a stoppage time wonder goal that clinched all three points at Leicester City on Saturday.
And with Cardiff linked with more loan deals - with Liverpool's Nathaniel Clyne on their radar - Warnock was asked for a transfer update after the win at the King Power Stadium.
He's keen to sign more players of Camarasa's quality.
"No, no progress," he said when asked about the Bluebirds' transfer dealings, on which he, chairman Mehmet Dalman and chief executive Ken Choo are working on.
"Mehmet has been working hard today to try push on with a couple of things.
"There's always new things cropping up, players who we haven't thought about. Players who might be coming back in that we didn't think were possible."Warnock then admitted he was still thanking Camarasa's girlfriend, Carla Vila, who persuaded the midfielder to move to the Welsh capital after spending time in Cardiff in the past.
The Yorkshireman is hoping more players of Camarasa's calibre can be convinced to join his Bluebirds.
He added:
"We need somebody like Victor's missus don't we who's been to Cardiff and has loved Cardiff to talk him into coming. We need to push Cardiff and see if any players want to come to Cardiff - that's our best chance of getting top players.
"I keep thanking his missus!"
