“ PRAISE FROM THE OPPOSITION “

Sun Dec 30, 2018 2:50 am

Below are a few extracts from post on Leicester City’s forum - Foxes Talk.

Well played Cardiff, they executed their game plan, stifled our threat, rode their luck and deserved to win in the end.

Well done Cardiff came with a plan. Smash and grab.

Sat right next to the Cardiff fans, who to their credit, didn't stop singing all afternoon.

Cardiff City have a brilliant travelling support, and I think we all knew Warnock would make it difficult today. Always quite liked the bloke in spite of his bitterness in 2014.

On a positive note, we witnessed today the wildest goal celebrations for the 15 years we've been at this ground.

Well done Cardiff .. hope you stay up. Obviously a limited side but got some fight about them.

Credit to Cardiff - they may be limited but they gave absolutely everything today. Some of their blocks and tackles were amazing.

Fair play to Cardiff, play ugly but deserved the win today.

Well done Cardiff. Personally thought you were doomed in October; Colin has um fighting.

Cardiff came here knowing exactly what they are about & with added luck just what they have to do; they executed it perfectly at the end, pushing for the win against our frustrated bollocksed looking bunch. Their fans bouyant and full of fresh joy in the Premier League, making a day out of the experience - our lot yawning and only making peeps when we push up: wearily expectant, when four years ago we were the "No Name City" playing away at the established Premier League side, which had quality players and played the neat stuff - and there they were, grafting and fighting their way.

Credit to Cardiff, they frustrated us, they were organised and as much as I can't stand Warnock, he knew exactly how to beat us. Let us have the ball, keep tight to Vardy and Maddison and sit back.

Just on way back to Cardiff after the game. Services full of happy Cardiff fans - who were excellent fair play during the game

Fair play to them. They did what they needed to do.

Camarasa was the best player on the pitch today. I'd also take Bamba back.

Cardiff simply wanted it more. They threw their bodies in the way of shots, closed down relentlessly and ran further and harder than us. If you fall to match the work rate of your opponent, you will most likely lose even if you have better players.

Also, fvck you Sol Bamba. Absolute car crash for us at times and today he turned out a performance worthy of a top 6 defender.

Absolutely love that hahaha

This is what being the underdog is all about. Getting 3 points in a mid season game and celebrating like you've just won the champions league!!!!

Yes I looked at the Leicester forum after the game and was surprised how fair most of the comments were! Chwarae teg. There was one that made me laugh saying how sad it was losing to a team managed by Ken Dodd with a picture of NW .....looking like Ken Dodd!

By the looks of their forum I think a lot of them have a soft spot for us after the way we treated them after Vichai died. Seems a lot of them want us to stay up and were praising our support and players work ethic. Complete contrast to Wolves and Fulham fans
