Have you been to New York at any time of year before? :?

Each to their own but I went there the first time with my partner simply to 'tick a box' but can tell you that New York in December or anytime of year is an experience well worth the bother! :thumbright:

Thinking of doing the same next year, but not too sure it’s worth doing with the kids in tow. Anyone who’s been taken their kids?

My son and his girlfriend went there just before Xmas, they're 29/30, they had a great time. They met another couple from the Rhondda who also loved the place, however their 14 year old son who was with them hated it.

December is manic in NY. The pavements are like walking through a football crowd.

Remember being in Maceys dept store and on the escalator I counted two people on every step!!!

Oh and it was a wind chill of minus 17 degrees. :bluescarf:

Always looked at it as a women’s thing.
Send your Mrs over on a girly long weekend shopping etc and shoot off with the boys somewhere in the new year!
Makes sense. ;)

We went last December it was a great experience.
Having said that take plenty of money.
It is so expensive,my hotel was $300 per night and it was just a Normal hotel.
Found great bars and restaurants 3 blocks over from time square.
Drinking with native new Yorkers who were great. We were there for a week and still didn't see it all.

I booked flights via sky scanner and then hotel via bookings.com

I think Dec is one of the most expensive times of the year to go to NY.

That about sums it up.

Adults love it, kids don’t.

Best city in the world.

Then NYC is the place to be! :thumbright:

Central Park, Rockerfeller Ice Rink, Times Square, Macy's, just to mention a few...

A vibrant city with a zest for the festive season and all the trimmings that go with it! :ayatollah:
