UNCONFIRMED: PLAYER SPAT AFTER MAN UTD GAME?

I thought hard before putting this out, as this is currently unconfirmed but rumours this morning that there had been a spat between Kenneth Zohore and Callum Paterson after the Man Utd game...

Initially, I was a little hesitant to give it any credence but the source is usually reliable and referred to the game itself where there were moments late on when the two appeared to be unhappy with each other

I sincerely hope this is not the case but it could explain both being left out of the match day squad versus Crystal's Palace without real explanation?

Thanks, Paul. I've just had similar from someone else who heard the same from another source and that doesn't make it sound too good

I would personally be annoyed if we didn't play either of our strikers in a game because they had a fall out. Doesn't really make sense.

Poor from Warnock if this why the pair of them were both dropped from the whole squad.

This makes sense if it is true. Earlier in the season I noticed in a number of games Paterson having a go at Zohore and at times it looked pretty heated.

I'm sure Zohore is pretty frustrating to play with but constant berating of him will not get the best out of him and should be left to the manager.

Ironically, I thought Zohore looked lively and caused Man Utd problems when he came on so I'm not sure Paterson would have much justifiable complaint about that performance !!

Hopefully nothing in this although Warnock has made a few comments about Zohore having to get his head straight so may be there have been underlying issues ?

To be fair, it was only a question whether the pair had been 'dropped' but the rumours seem to be out there of some kind of altercation. Having watched the game back now, I can see that the pair had some strong words (mainly from Paterson) but whether that was a pre-cursor, I'm not sure...

Hence the question, as there has been no real explanation for the pair not even being on the bench and usually the club would say if it was through an injury/knock

As said elsewhere, hopefully this is not the case and we all move on

Andrew, showing on TV was some verbal between the two and you are right that it has happened before

The manager didn't really elaborate on the players with "niggles" and it's odd that he didn't say about Paterson in particular; a recent mainstay of the team

Sven, reason that they did not play is that Zahore has a thigh injury that could put him out for a long time and Paterson tweaked his knee joint, Paterson should be fit for Saturday but not Zahore. Patters is always having a go at Zahore, because he does not pass to Patters when he is in a better position than Zahore, nothing new in this.

Although I have to say, if we had both Zohore at the top of his game and Paterson at the top of his, I'd keep Zohore !! Trouble is Zohore hasn't been at the top of his game for a year now.

It certainly appears 'something' has happened and I'd far prefer your reasoning to the alternative

I'm sure the manager will have dealt with this (and any other) issues between a competitive and committed squad of players and hopefully this is a sign of their wanting to do well for the club and its supporters!

Yes Chris, the source seems very credible, but thankfully we have a tough boss who knows how to handle situations like this and will say that he loves passion etc

In football as in life , people sometimes don't like who they work with.
Teddy Sheringham and Andy Cole hated each other,but this didn't stop them giving 100% to the team.
Neil Warnock as been in the game over 50 years.
He's seen it before and dealt with it without making it public.
I'm quite sure he will do the same here.
We won't hear nothing from him or any of the players,about this.
But unfortunately someone as leaked this (if true) which won't make Warnock very happy , I would hate to be in his shoes when he finds out who it was.

I seen patterson jogging after the mam utd game down by the film studios near Llanharan so thought it was strange that he was injured

Perhaps they just dont get on, in the man city cup game last season he gestured to zohore to chase down and zohore just shrugged his shoulders and stood off the player.
On saturday when zohore shot from an acute angle and patts followed through into the net , he then went nuts kicking at the net and pulling it, thought it was just frustration but it now seems more than this.
They do need to sort it as both players are needed when on form.

Undoubtedly there was word's between them happens all the time In football, but cannot believe NW is lying when says Ken is out for weeks so
So not being in squad got nothing to do with the spat, as for Patterson who knows?

Zohore wasn’t in a great position to shoot, and Paterson wasn’t in a particularly great position to receive the ball.

Patterson is always moaning at someone. Doubt much in it once the games done with.
