Victor Camarasa four top Premier Clubs want him

Cardiff City's on loan midfielder Victor Camarasa is the subject of interest from four top-half Premier League clubs, according to reports in the Spanish media.

And Marca are reporting the Bluebirds are keen to sign the Spaniard on a permanent deal "as soon as possible" to ward off their rivals.


Camarasa has been a huge hit since signing on loan from Real Betis in the summer, starting 17 Premier League matches and arguably being their player of the season so far.

It's understood there is no option for Cardiff to automatically make his stay permanent at the end of the season-long loan deal, which is why Neil Warnock is keen to move swiftly amid interest from others.

Marca state Cardiff are prepared to pay Betis £13.5m.





Elsewhere, Crystal Palace and Huddersfield are reported to be battling it out to loan Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke - a man who has recently been linked with the Bluebirds.

However, Victor Camarasa's success at the club has got him noticed and IMHO City need to stump up the cash for him as soon as Marca will do the deal. He has made a massive contribution to the team this season, the supporters love him (as they do most players this season) and I can't see us winning a bidding war against anyone who seriously wants him in the Premier League, if it comes to that

It's a toughie, Paul. I think Camarasa is one of those 'no brainer' signings that would be a superb player to help a genuine promotion push in event we go down to the Paupers League again, and also keep his value should we feel the need to sell on

Th other dilemma is that City need to spend money elsewhere right now. 100% see your point but would love to sign him up sooner rather than later and risk losing a proven player for the future

he's not worth £13.5m, more like £7-8m.

players of decent technical ability like him are 10 a penny in la liga. ultimately his agent will be pimping him out to the highest bidder at the end of the season.

I said a while back,that if he kept up performance levels,the vultures would be circling hope we keep him,but do fear we may get priced out,let's hope betis accept clubs offer,if one has been made.

not sure why he would wave an enormous signing on fee, or that having one player earning that much more than everyone else at the club is a good thing either..

I would love us to sign him, think he has been brilliant and one you could easily build your team around. problem is other teams will be alerted.

The other thought is do we look short term or long term. Getting him in Jan and spending 15m but not actually improving the squad.

It's not like we're offering slave labour. Many of the players we have would never have the chance of Premier League football with another club.

We also probably offer a substantial bonus to the squad if they manage to stay up.

We have him on loan until the end of the season so wants the point of signing him now when we need at least three new players to stay up? Anyway,Like Arter,he won’t sign for us unless we stay up as he will have other offers.

Have to do everything we can to keep Victor, such a quality player, puts in a shift and can play. Sadly I expect him to leave at the end of the loan, will be a shame we have uncovered a real gem

More chance of Harry staying, think we will get him for 8 million if we stay up or go down
