Spanish midfielder Victor Camarasa, on loan at Cardiff City, has impressed in his debut season in the Premier League and the Welsh side are willing to pay a hefty sum to keep the 24-year-old.

Real Betis, who Camarasa belongs to, are not counting on his services and that money could go towards retaining a player like Giovani Lo Celso, who is on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

Up to four sides in the Premier League have called Betis to enquire about the contractual situation of Camarasa.

At Cardiff, they are aware that getting into a bidding war could see the Spaniard's price rise even further so they are keen to seal a deal as soon as possible and are willing to pay 15 million euros, since the club did not previously agree a purchase option with Betis.

He has become a vital player under Neil Warnock and he was even able to get on the scoresheet against Manchester United, beating David De Gea from the penalty spot, though Cardiff lost the match 5-1.

I think it may be down to the lateness of the deal, it was a last minute deal and close to the deadline.

You don’t know what went on during the meetings or the terms etc. Perhaps the club or/and the player had absolutely no intention of selling or wanting to move. Times can change.
Was it scandalous that Palace didn’t buy Loftus-Cheek when he was on loan for example? Or dozens of other clubs/players?

I agree. I'm getting tired of the growing number of people here who want to put down the club in every possible way and at every opportunity . The fantastic achievements so far coming from the edge of a chasm into the third division into the premiership in a couple of years obviously passes them by.
I've been supporting the club for many years and people were so loyal and committed even when we had some useless teams, but now I honestly don't recognise the attitudes of these little tossers . They seem to feel entitled to whatever they want the club to do ,at whatever cost and without any problems or obstacles .
It's that loyalty and support I spoke of which makes us feel a bit of justification when we share in the successes when they happen , but these people don't give that and so I don't know why they want to be part of it when we beat wolves or come back and beat Fulham.

Remembering as I do the old Colliers who mixed with teachers,doctors ,soldiers ,policemen and everyone else in this constant and usually unrewarded solidarity behind the club, it really makes me sick and very very sad on Christmas Day to see the carping grissling comments coming thick and fast from those who should be sticking together to show their appreciation for what's been done on their name. I know they've probably never had a fight or any real hardship in their lives but that doesn't absolve them from having any respect for the hard work of those who've won our present position in the premier league or loyalty when they need it from the terraces.
