Cardiff boss Neil Warnock desperate for new players to join in January window

He has admitted he may be forced out if sufficient reinforcements do not arrive

The club are likely to miss out on the signing of Argentinian striker Emiliano Sala

Cardiff currently have the lowest wage bill of all clubs in the Premier League

Cardiff have the lowest wage bill in the Premier League and Warnock, who wants a midfielder and right back too, said: 'We need more players, we do, but it is difficult, I can only do what I can do really.

'I can put names forward, but getting them over the line is not as simple as that really.' When asked if Cardiff were any closer to striking a deal to secure a forward, Warnock said: 'No not at all. We're looking as best we can at where we can get players in. At the moment it looks very much like the loan market for us.' Dalman warned that Cardiff are struggling to sign the new striker that Warnock covets.

'It's not going well. Every time we go for somebody, things change. It's difficult,' he told BBC Radio Wales. 'The January window is a difficult window to do business in.

Warnock has said all along that he won't break the bank to sign players, so this reporter is just twisting words when Warnock says I can only do what I can do. Typical journalist looking for something that is not there.

Warnock off

According to the daily mail warnock could quit over lack of transfer funds. Hope this is not true as there would be uproar if it happened.

It will be very sad if it happens but I can't say I blame him.

Tan be criticised for any number of things but he certainly seems to be a man of his word.

If there's no money available now then Warnock would have known that at the start of the season. I doubt very much that Tan would have said that there would be funds available in January and then changed his mind.

Why would Warnock leave now because of lack of funds? He's had virtually no funds since he joined and, to be honest, some of the players he's paid money for have been far from successful.

Warnock won’t leave due to a lack of funds. In truth, if anyone should be angry about use of funds, it should be Tan who bankrolled multiple signings for us in the summer who Warnock rarely plays in his starting line-up.

To be honest, as much as I think we got scrooge as our owner, hard to argue with the facts. Big money signings have not worked

No, no direct quotes whatsoever! :thumbright:

Lazy journo simply stating he (Neil Warnock) "could go" to create a story (apt term) but not backing it up

This is exactly the kind of thing the Daily Mail routinely does with every kind of story. They are well known for it and it's not just poor journalism ,it's deliberately disingenuous click bait for their online component.
They pay £80 a shift to kids who couldn't get a gig anywhere else and they sit there reading various news feeds and other publications rather than any form of proactive enquiry, then rewrite it ,often spinning it to sound much more interesting than it was the first time you read it.

Nothing new there, but it annoyed me on this occasion because they directed their bullshit scatter gun in the direction of Cardiff City, so I wrote to the Editor this evening.

None of our negative or defeatist members should take any encouragement from this story, which is as informed, ( and as meaningless ), as their own views of football and management.
