Bamba and manga

I totally disagree. Neither of them are good enough for the Premier League. I love Bamba but his 3-4 rushes to the head are costing us dearly. Manga hasn’t got a clue when he has the ball and the more time he has the less clue he’s got as to what to do with it. He is also not good in the air and struggles against physical players. Morrisson does have some qualities and cuts out a lot of danger by reading the game and being in the right place. You don’t realise how much we depend on him until he’s not there. I’d take him over either of the other two every time. In fact both of the other two should be moved on if we stay up.

This is a big debate and one Warnock clearly thinks Bamba/Morrisson is the best pairing.Whatwe need to address now is real right back.

When Morrison missed a few games last season around Christmas we lost every game that Bruno and Sol played together at centre half.

Playing them together in the Premier League would be asking for trouble.

I think we need to buy a new centre half to play with Bruno as both Morrison and Sol are struggling badly.

I agree 150% - Bamba could get away with his errors in the Championship but the Premiership is brutally exposing his limitations. I have never understood the reason why there is such admiration for Manga from certain members of this forum either? As a full back, he was woefully exposed time and time again in the Championship by any wide player with half a yard of pace or half a pound of strength and its even worse in the Premiership - equally poor going forward - Manga can't pass the ball, he can't even cross,(never seen him miss the first man with a cross). As Jaycee so eloquently points out in his post, Manga is also as far away from being a decent CB as frogs are from feathers - how can he be, apart from his previously mentioned weaknesses throw in that he can't head the ball and is piss weak physically and that sums it up!!

Morrison is clearly the best of a woefully ineffective defence!! We can't defend and we can't score so the only 2 parts of the side that are any good are being murdered (Goalkeeper and Midfield) and it now looks like next to nobody is going to be brought in January! Never mind, let's all be comforted by the fact that we have purposely built a team of players which will be much more comfortable in the Championship - ambition amongst the hierarchy (and I'm not including NW here as his hands are tied) at our club is clearly non-existent and we as loyal paying fans deserve better.

Neither good enough in my opinion, manga looks lost at right back and Bamba has a clanger in him.
