Did you enjoy that Vinnie?

Sat Dec 22, 2018 9:52 pm

Wonder if Tan enjoyed watching his club so comprehensively outplayed this evening?

Even with his complete lack of football knowledge he must have felt slightly embarrassed by that performance in front of a massive worldwide audience and all the media attention surrounding Solskjaer's return?

I'm sure he'll console himself by having a quick look at the club's Premier League bank account whilst he's here.

Wonder if he'll be at Palace on Boxing day?

Doubt he enjoyed it.

Probably like most of us questioning why Warnock didn't spend all his budget and has 10m plus Reid hardly featuring when key areas like right back, defensive midfield and strikers wasn't solved over the summer.

I thought he was a (Man) United fan? :?

Isn't that why he brought OGS in at the time? :?

Sad to see OGS keep his record of keeping the home team subdued at the CCS! :|

Not sure about Tan but I'm pretty sure it's Dalman who has the links to United and wanted Ole.

Apart from the muppet bit,I agree with you,but hey ho this is a forum after all,its now getting like friends of fulham board of late :banghead: we nearly all signed on for the scrap, knowing we were shit hot favourites to go straight back down, nearly all believe we were fortunate enough to be promoted, were here to support the boys, come what may?we cannot do anything about the budget, how it was spent, certain positions left exposed, striker, right back etc,we for the moment are speculating what, will or will not be available come January, there is very little value imo in january window, for our position, we have to maybe trawl further afield than we maybe are?I would look to raid besiktas in Turkey, they are in big financial pickle this year, looking to balance their books,I wouldn't mind one of their strikers(mustafa pektemek)and maybe arslan,as he has been suspended until no fixed date, not 100%sure as to why,my mate from Izmir thinks it's unpaid wages?? Worth a punt in my eyes, certainly could get value for money

we have played them at home 3 times since I started watching...why only 3 times..well because they { in football terms }are a super power and we spent about 30 of those years either fighting relegation from the 2nd tier or were actually in the 3rd and 4th tiers..why..lack of investment...

so we find someone who does actually invest to a point where we are at last able to get into the top league..lets knock him..laughable

It was not just today, either. We were completely outplayed by WHU and Watford recently ... 2 mid table sides.

What's the point in getting into the top league if you then make zero attempt to stay there? Is he happy with just being in the Premier League for one season and then happy when we get relegated?

Without him we would never have got promoted once let alone twice - I don't think anybody could argue against that. But has he done anything since we got promoted to suggest that he wants to do anything but recoup as much of his money as he can and let's get this straight, I understand and don't blame him for that one bit.

What I cannot understand are those people who continue to believe that Tan has any interest in taking the club forward and establishing it in the Premier League. Nothing he has done since we were relegated last time would suggest that and let's face it, the only reason he appointed Warnock is because he realised that his "cheap option" Trollope was taking us to a place that the club may never have come back from.

no he is not prepared to push the boat out this time..i do see a point in us being in the prem though..it really is where we need to be ,attracting good crowds in a decent stadium for us to have any chance of finding a VT2...the Premier league is what people all over the world watch, even if it is mainly to see the top sides..i think we need to accept it for what it is for now , and hope NW can make it a hat trick of miracle seasons which buys us another year with the eyes of the world on us.

Where do you lot get your information from Vincent tan has recouped no money since he has been involved in this club, he is converting debt to equity and is not taking money out he has just stated he will no longer fund the club it needs to become self sufficient

Where this nonsense about him getting his money back comes from I do not know check the accounts no money has been taken by the owner EVER

Also this nonsense about £100m

The club was losing £1m plus a month in championship that’s £12m gone before you start £30’ for transfers and signing on fees and I’d estimate another £10m for promotion bonuses and increased wages I make that around £55m gone before we even kick a ball there will be money kept for this window who knows what but again that money comes out of the £100m

You also have increased costs of normal staff

Plus I am unsure how far in the red the club was that could also have wiped money off

The estimation on bonuses and increased wages could be well off the mark as well it could more like £20m plus

Think people need to think about this sort of shit before they actually go where has the £100m gone the clubs running costs were well into £30m a season before we got promoted
