Embarrassed locally

Sat Dec 22, 2018 9:19 pm

Not taking anything away from a freak utd performance that we haven't seen for years, but is so fkin embarrassed by locals in South Wales.

In a pub in ponty. with some tossers singing so loud for man Utd. These dead beats prob not been outside rct but where is the local support gone...how can they put on their Manc accents sing some songs when local side need a their backing. Seriously I've hated Liverpool for years for the same reason but ffs wise up and support your team

Where I work is full of them. Out of a workforce of 400+ I can count on one hand, the number of Cardiff fans. All the rest are Mancs Scousers even Leeds.

They are pathetic..glory hunters , should look at them with pity.. not knowing what it’s like to have real passion for your local football team .

I'll be honest, I don't get it, why would you want to support a club you can't watch.

However football is a sport/hobby that people enjoy in different ways. They have passion and excitement for united so i take no issue with that.

The clubs aim has to be to make future generations want to watch live football and feel that real passion.

Lazy attitude to life, support a team that generally wins. We could all do that were it not for the fact we have grown up.

I’ll be completely honest with you all, I have followed Man Utd since the late 80’s, they were the 1st team I knew about, whilst playing for my local kids football team we were invited to train with them before a match and watch them, this was away to Coventry in the old 1st Division and they lost 1-0 to a Cyril Regis goal.

I started going to Ninian Park when I was 16/17 so the 92/93 season and have followed Cardiff ever since, I have been to far more Cardiff matches than Utd, last time I went up to OT was when Giggs was interim manager after Moyes. Over the past few years I am more interested in how we are doing, even my kids are all Cardiff mad and I am also more active on our forums, not even a member of any of theirs.

When Utd are in town I stay away from the stadium, this weekend I was working so had the perfect excuse even though I was offered tickets back when Arsenal were in town. I was absolutely gutted when I saw the result, expected that from Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea to be honest not from Utd with how they’ve been playing recently.

I’m expecting a lot of stick for this but in my defence I was a kid, now I’m older my view is clearer, Cardiff are my number one team, they are my home team, they are the team I get upset about when things don’t go our way.

As well as the win the manure fans probably had the shortest trip home of any other set of away fans ever to grace the ground.

More so than last year I've seen so many locals on social media cheering us lose when we play "their" teams.
