Team set up

Sorry but although we prob would have lost anyway, I cannot understand the formation by N W. Basically it was the away formation which has not worked all year!
He continues to play Hoilett on the right and he has no pace. If you replay the game and watch HIs contribution it next to nil. I am not sure where and what he was being asked to do. Why not play 2 wingers Murphy and NML ...it could not have been Worse than 5-1.
If you were the away team you would be happy knowing there was little pace in the centre forward position and that we would largely rely on lumping the ball to Patterson. Easy you can play Jones centre half
When Zahore came on at least he turned their defence a couple of times and looked threatening.
We are not blessed with great quality but we should use our pace players. To have a formation with one winger and Patterson upfront was daft...while we had NML Zahore and Reid on the bench. Half time no subs!!c
Additionally while Morrison is a great lad he is so slow surely Manga and Bamba should be tried at centre back. Also if we must always use a long throw at least don't always going it to Morrison.
Sorry as I say we would prob have lost anyway, but starting with the right players in correct positions would have helped. :bluebird:

Like I said in another thread, where’s the closing down of opponents gone. We were pretty effective at it in the Championship, we are not even bothering to do it in the Prem.

Midfield was poor. Gunners looked totally lost throughout and Camarasa doesn't do enough centrally in my opinion.

Camarasa needs to be in that No.10 role, for me. We’re teased with him in that position, but then he’s having to get back to his own 18 yard line defending. He needs to be our main creative outlet, not losing his legs by chasing the ball back all the time.

It’s exactly why Whitts didn’t work in Warnock’s team.

The only positive might be that if NW really wants to get a couple of players in January VT can hardly say that he thinks we don't need them.
:P
But does Neil want better funds, cos then he can't use his usual mantra of being amazed how well we are doing with so little money..... "If I'm honest".

“If I’m honest” Our Neil played into their hands tonight.

Gunner must be dropped, useless use of long throws put it on the deck and cross it,commits too many fouls because he has no pace or stamina and finally likes to pass back like morrison to much.
Ken upfront with bobby as a ten ,victor and harry centre then josh and nathaniel thats my xmas wish.
You then have pato junior or kadeem to come on to freshen things up.

Absolutely.

And where has the tackling gone? Against Watford and tonight we have allowed players to waltz through our entire back four and pass the ball into the net with nobody making any attempt to tackle them.

No attempt is made to put opposition players under pressure until they reach the edge of our box - allow good players that freedom and they'll punish you, as we are discovering week after week.
