People on here stuck their nose up to it in the summer butt for me James Collins on a free in January on a no brainer.

No transfer fee, wages would be moderate and would probably take a contract to the end of the season.

If for nothing else his experience would be invaluable to Morrison and imo he is better than Bamba.

The time for sentiment has gone.

It's what we need but cannot see it as NW as his own ideas as to players he wants. And tbh it will get us relegated :old:

Collins training with villa. £50k contract on the table when he's fit. Great lad but not worth That sort of money these days

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Don’t give Warnock money, he’ll waste it. We don’t want players who are a “ good honest bunch” We want quality skilful players.

A striker, a holding midfielder and about 5 defenders.

The 50k contract isn’t per week. It was over the five weeks he originally agreed to sign for villa

How many of those would come for £30k/wk? They could get double that at Huddersfield. This is the harsh reality of PL football under Tan.

You’re tripping, the way Warnock is talking, we couldn’t afford league one players at the moment. Groundhog Day.

In order that we become and remain debt free.

It’s not like he’s not doing what he said he would do.

Drinkwater would be a great signing, but I imagine his wages are sky high

A good cheaper option for a striker would be Marcos Vinicius Amaral Alves (known as Marcao) tall Brazilian striker currently playing in Korea could get him realatively cheap and on decent wages and has a ridiculous scoring record and I think he would suit the way we play.

We also need a RB and another CM as a minimum for our purchases in Jan. a loan for Ampadu would be great but don’t think Cealsea want to loan him out. We need more bite in midfield.

Good call Phildavies,

I know the Korean K league(top league) is far from the Premiership but looking at this 6 ft 5" striker, who is only 24 years old, looks like he has been overlooked for a few years - scored 26 goals in 31 appearances this season.

Well worth a look I say - Surely moving to the best league in the world would be a good incentive for a 24 year old.

Can we find a diamond in disguise from somewhere?

Cheers mate also said before the World Cup we should have been looking to bring in the RB Moussa Wague who was playing in Belgium for Eupen at the time though and behold after his WC performances Barca brought him to develop at their B side. If possible getting him on loan would solve our RB problems as he is excellent and had we been quicker I think we could have signed him permanently in the summer on the cheap.
