Debut versus Man Utd

Having read social media, it appears the new Callum Paterson song is set to make its debut against Man Utd.

As Paterson is Scottish and fast becoming a club legend (like Kev McNaughton), I think he deserves a more fitting song than the generic “duh duh duh” attempt. Here it is:

I get what you’re saying as the first line ends prematurely in comparison with the original version, but the remaining lines are the exact same in terms of syllables used and are an exact match. It’s confusing to read though and I appreciate people will probably need to hear it. I thought it was good, but I’m easily pleased.

I’ve taken on board your areas of improvement and ammended the second part of the opening line to reflect the 6 syllables as per the original song (not the 7 in the KM version).

Is it possible to have a “one stop shop” on this forum where we can post player related songs only?

We could alternate the player on a weekly/fortnightly basis and have a vote on our favourite attempt, with the winning effort being the sole representative. I appreciate not every fan reads this board. At the moment there’s at least 3 players accredited to being the “star man playing down the right” and this would help alleviate this problem.

Coincidentally, I was the one who sorted out the RAF 100 celebration at the CCS which included a bugler, maybe we could use him. I don’t think I’d want him stood next to me in the Canton though.
