“ Vincent Tan / Plus Full United “

Wed Dec 19, 2018 7:07 pm

Vincent Tan has now planned to come and watch Cardiff City v Manchester United on Sat live on BT Sports.

Plus Manchester United’s

full entourage expected apparently- I suppose that means Ferguson, Charlton, and Ed Woodward etc.

I wonder how Tan will greet Ole - no idea what he thinks of him but assume it’s not good?

Fair play to Sir Alex. Still goes to most of their matches, home and away, despite his recent health scare.

It appears that the hierarchy at United still haven’t worked out that Woodward is the problem - they need a Director of Football or Sporting Director urgently.

The game has been sold out for ages so I reckon Tan has joined the forum and he's been one of the newbie posters who's been after United tickets for the last few months.

Luckily for him he seems to have found somebody with a spare!

Let them come and see what a real football club and its passionate supporters look like. Not their plastic prawn sandwich spoilt happy clappy fans. They're in for a shock and a very bumpy ride :old:  :bluescarf:

Man Utd’s away support is arguably the best in the country.

When they came to CCS in our other Premier League season, they were easily the best away supporters.

Yes, I hate to say it but they were certainly up there with the best! :thumbright:

Of course, it's possibly because most didn't have to travel far! ;) :laughing6:

Nice to see our owner in town. A full house and a vocal support might just enthuse him in time for January! :ayatollah:

I have a lot of time for the actual United fans, Chris. What I mean by that is those fans who actually go to matches, not the armchair supporters.

With all of Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho the majority have supported managers. I know they had the plane that flew over Old Trafford calling for Moyes to go, but that was largely condemned by their core support.

For a fan base that has been used to winning things and being the top dog in English football for years, their fans have been mostly very supportive to the team and manager when things haven’t been going so well.

things not going so well..what does that mean? 5th and a semi final ?

following Utd is an easy option and a soft ride compared to what the vast majority of football fans up and down the country experience

I agree.

What I meant is things not going as well competed to what they’ve been used to over the last 25 years.

Tan always stressed in the statements made when Ole was sacked that Ole would be very welcome back at the club in the future.

That's despite setting the club back years and squandering tens millions of pounds.

He also brought a toxic atmosphere of complete player power which we are extremely lucky to be out of.

I would predict Tan will use this as another excuse to dig up his past feud with Malky Mackay and say Ole was honourable, honest etc.

Solskjaer lasted just eight months in charge of Cardiff in 2014, during which time he led them to relegation from the top flight - finishing bottom of the table - and then suffered a poor start to the next Championship campaign.
