For the attention of the media; You are obviously monitoring my social media account which I personally do not have a problem with.

My Post yesterday regarding some incidents Saturday on the supporters coaches was to deter supporters as our support has risen in the premier league who like a drink not to travel on our coaches as it will not be tolerated and it is against the law to do so travelling to a football match.

I didn't realise it was such a quiet news day that it would be reported in the media with everything else that is going on in the country and world.

Just a couple of facts if you are going to report it;

The fight was not football related but a domestic dispute

This is a very rare occurrence on supporters coaches our members are impeccably behaved and a credit to the football club.

The last time I can remember an incident similar to this on a supporters coach was 18 years ago

The incident was controlled by the steward of the coach and no other parties were injured

The incident has been passed on to Cardiff City Football Club and South wales Police have been consulted

The person has been banned from the supporters club

This was a very serious incident dealt with and diffused quickly by our experienced stewards, but not sure the incident warrants the sensational headlines

Well if wasnt put on here it would not have been in the news papers? Easier to just keep in house and simple ban people concerned and get bus stewards to issue warnings on bus if there is misbehaviour or people are drunk they don't get on bus instead of creating own problems regarding our reputation with press .

100% agree. No need whatsoever to broadcast it. It's now all over Wales online and the egg biased and obsessed media will have a field day, should have been dealt with internally. Deleting anti social media accounts is the way forward

No, once again I was baffled by who this chap is and why he always gets quoted .
Bit of advice though , Vince. Social media is what it says and it WILL get quoted old chap. In fact most people do it for that very reason, but do also understand that people in the media are trying to create contraversy and interest not accuracy when they pick stuff off Facebook or Twitter .
If you doubt that, say something capable of being interpreted as racist , sexist or otherwise upsetting to some bunch of neo puritan nutters and you'll get quoted much more widely.

Vince I believe is City through and through, his passion for them can't go a miss however he does seem to come across at times as a bit of a nobby bobby, but overall I can't comment as I don't know the bloke, all I know is he puts on a good experience for the away day fans

" City through and through " goes nowhere near far enough to cover it. Without doubt the most selfless individual at Cardiff City in the 40 years I've been going. Thats some claim considering we've had the Daniels, Mike Lambert, Mark Watkins, Corky etc. They all put the interest of their fellow Cardiff fan in front of their own. To be honest anyone that runs a bus deserves a medal, 99% wouldn't go anywhere near it. Running a dozen plus to every game must be pretty much certifiable.

I am surprised that there are fans on this forum who have no idea who Vince Alm is. I don't know the bloke, but being a genuine City supporter, I am well aware of who he is and the work he carries out behind the scenes on behalf of the fans. It's not as if he is new to the club or anything, he has been doing this for years.

Handled it perfectly in my opinion ,not sweeping the incidents under the carpet like another sport l could mention but dealing with it head on.Hopefully the police will not get involved of course all depends on the seriousness of the incidents but if it is left to CCSC then I’m sure the correct outcome will be reached.

Just who do you muppets think you are (don't know Vince Alm) of course it should be reported and be put out there, it just shows how brain dead some of you are, all the usual suspects, here you go again





Warning to Cardiff City fans after 'drunken fight' on bus

New Cardiff City fans do not understand how to behave at football matches, the supporters' club spokesman said
Drunken football fans have been told they won't be tolerated after a fight on an away game coach left children "terrified" and one fan banned.


A Cardiff City Supporters' Club steward was also hit and several seats were damaged as fans returned from the club's game at Everton FC on Saturday.


Supporters' club spokesman Vince Alm also claimed some fans were left in Liverpool for being too drunk and that such incidents are on the rise.

Police have been asked to comment.
The fight happened on the almost full 75-seat coach as fans returned to south Wales on the M6 from Liverpool following the 1-0 defeat, said Mr Alm, who is also chairman of the Football Supporters Federation Wales.
Mr Alm said the "main culprit" refused to get off the coach after the fight, and the other man involved had to be put on another coach.




The supporters' club took more than 500 fans on 10 coaches to the game.

The incident has been reported to South Wales Police and to the football club, Mr Alm said.
He warned if such incidents continued, the supporters' club might have to change its "open" policy to make it more difficult for supporters to use its coaches.
"It's only the second time I've seen a fight on a coach in 12 years," he said.
"But we are telling them not to come on our coaches, because we won't tolerate it.
"A lot of fans who have come for years respect the buses, but some new fans don't know how to behave.
"We want to maintain that family-friendly profile of the away game buses."

You are all saying you have never met the guy or never heard of him, yet make comments about him on here, you all believe that it should not be reported that idiots were fighting on one of the buses, I would have gone further and called the police to get him off the bus, and left him at the side of the road. I am more than surprised that some of you on here that I thought were sensible fans are not so, though I am not surprised at the usual suspects.

Listen, no one is having a go at him or anything like that. I'm sure he's a very nice man and , as you've pointed out, he's been very generous in his efforts toward the club and its supporters clubs. It's just that he's not a well known person outside this circle and so people wonder why he's being quoted on the subject of football all the time.
It's a perfectly genuine and understandable thing to wonder " who's this guy - have I somehow failed to notice a former Arsenal captain or something ?"
Also, no one is demeaning his opinion because they hadn't heard of him, but it'd be strange if they didn't ask. I was beginning to think it might be a nom de plume like " Colin Dale" or something .

There was absolutely no need to take to social media and explain everything that happened for 2 simple reasons that Vince has explained -

1. It's being dealt with accordingly
2. It was an isolated, non football related incident.

So the root cause of this very bad publicity was one individual who felt the need to put this all over anti social media when it should not have been.

Supported the bluebirds for 50 years and honestly I've never heard of him. Always really amuses a lot of people on here like he is the official CCFC fan/spokesperson

If you are responsible for a supporters club and there are legal requirements for traveling on a coach,then he his being responsible,if an incident occurs and he has to communicate with the Cardiff City supporters,who travel on Cardiff City supporters club coaches. Social media and this message board is an effective communication tool and is used for coach information, so I agree he did the right thing.

its crystal clear that Vince is shocked by it being picked up by the media , and would have preferred it to remain in house..
all that has been said is if you do not want it in media don't put it on social media..
as for not knowing him...the vast majority of our fans are not members of or travel with CCSC...

Damned if he did, damned if he didn't.

He probably didn't want to alert the authorities but did want to get the message to fans traveling to behave, he does a great job and does not deserve criticism in my opinion.

I've been going home since 1970, and away since 1978. Apart from the posts that Annis puts on here quoting him, I've no idea who he is, and tbh don't think I'd recognize him. I haven' travelled with the official Supporters Club since 1980/81, so possibly that's why?

youd probably recognise him if you saw him mate - I still see faces from the late 70s/early 80s..say 'alright mate' and thats it, dont know em tho'
