Just read we're apparently after Clyne on loan. I'd push the boat for a permanent move. They'll probably still want a decent fee even though he's about their 4th choice right back. I'd then take Origi or Solanke on loan for the striker role (only allowed 2 loans from the Prem - Arter takes the other spot).

isnt solanke on loan already to a championship side?

clyne is a very good player - he will go to a much better team than us, sadly.
solanke and origi haven't got much minutes and are less established so are more realistic, though both would be in high demand. if we can offer regular first team football then we should be within a shout, as going to the palaces and bournemouths of this world to be a squad player isn't really any use.

Nope, he was at Vitesse last year. Stuck at Liverpool at the moment and not getting into the squad much.

I wouldn't have thought of Clyne but he's linked in the papers. I'd go all out and grab him. We need a right back desperately - so it must swing him our way if he knows he'll be the first name on our team sheet.
The striker situation is difficult and risky. But given our good relationship with Liverpool it seems logical to grab one of them. Although with Warnock already saying he wants Ampadu on-loan and that he's said today he wants a defensive midfielder then I'd be inclined to believe he'll use the 2nd Prem loan on him.

I like Clyne but if we have any chance of getting a striker I think it will be on loan and I think Clyne will go to someone "better"
Warnock has to get this right and not wait around like he did all summer.
