He said he could 'smell' the complacency leading to defeat.
If his sense of smell is so prophetic then surely he should've done something about it.
I have serious doubts about his ability as a manager. I like the way he's introduced youngsters, but his team selection and tactics are all over the place.

Giggs you let your country down on many occasions by making yourself unavailable. I will be delighted when you have gone.

60 odd caps isn't letting anyone down ? As for the friendlies missed no one would complain if bale missed friendlies to preserve his international career! Yes bale is far more committed to friendlies than giggs ever was but we are seeing problems with real over this and that's not good for Wales because that's exactly what happened to giggs and fergie hence all those missed games :old:

Don't understand why the game was arranged Wales don't play again till March so even if we'd won not sure what we would of taken out of it. If it had been a warm up for Denmark fair enough but last game of the year friendly away to Albania not exactly inspiring

The buck stops with Giggs and Giggs should take the blame.

Even Scotland hammered little Albania.

it gave game time to fringe players and the opportunity to include some youngsters....its what friendlies are about..how else do you keep people involved , try things out or give experience.?
if it was a warm up for a big game it would also have been our full team from the getgo..

friendlies and starting line ups with 8 changes are not a new thing for any team at any level and tbh im far more surprised that some people who have been around sport all their lives think otherwise than what happened last night..

I'm not a massive fan of Giggs as a manager myself.. But I feel people have short memories.

All song & after pasting Ireland at home, then also getting an unlikely win away. I'm on the fence... If he goes or stays, I'm not too bothered. Can't see there being anyone better to come in at this present time.

Is Bellamy really the answer?

I tend to agree with this, its been a very mixed start but an interesting one after the mess of the last campaign under Coleman.

I find it interesting how all the youngsters are being blooded and I think it was needed, Giggs doesn’t seems to have got his tactics right in every game thought and no doubt about it yesterday’s result was a poor one.

I do wonder if Bellamy had took over and done the exact same as Giggs if he would have been given more of a chance though.

Same people giving the knee jerk reaction after this as there was when we stuffed Ireland.

I'm not the biggest gigs fan personally but look at the bigger picture. We put a team of kids out for a friendly, he's bringing the youth through. It will take time. You can't sack him after a hand full of game ffs, what kind of disruption would that cause this young squad?

Act like a MANager Giggs 99% of whom would accept responsibility, you pick the team you choose the tactics, buck stops with you I'm afraid. Just hope this doesn't effect the brilliant youngsters we have coming through who should realise they'll hopefully still be around when he's long gone.

You should watch more manager interviews  the sight of a manager admitting they are wrong is very very rare

Friendlies and meaning less games always produce these type of results.
Did we not get stuffed in sweden prior to the euros.

I didn’t want Giggs but fans need to support him.

Bottom line is that people will use any excuse to have a go at him, and some even want him to fail.

He will be our manager at least until the end of Euro 2020 qualifying, so just support him.

Giggs didn’t make an issue of it, but at times it felt like the ref was against us

We made 8 changes and played well with the youngsters in the first half despite missing a number of chances. In the second half we had a penalty against us that never was by fouling a player that should have been sent off and then had a stonewall penalty turned down. We brought on some senior players like Bale and Ramsey to win the game but we went downhill yet Giggs gets all the blame? While I agree he should have some because he made the substitutions and think our senior players in particular let him down? Remember we won in Dublin without them someone Denmark couldn’t do!

Apparently his record is comparable or better than speed, Hughes, Coleman at this stage so think people are bit premature with their condemnation of him

Exactly right.
People like bluesman don’t know what went on. Like others I’m not a particular fan of Giggs but a hell of lot of friendlies he missed was about managing his constant hamstring problems and even more was about Ferguson stopping him playing. You wouldn’t go against Fergie in those days.
Give the guy a chance ffs.

tbh mate ive had a tournament ticket since they started doing them. have been away 30 times. and only watched 2 of these friendlies Giggs missed.{ he also played a few I missed } .. mostly because they have often been called MEANINGLESS friendlies much like the one in Albania where it was Wales reserves and often half a dozen random subs..coupled with the fact most of them were midweek and sandwiched between 2 Saturday games for ourselves unlike the international break friendlies we have now { but players still pull out of }..
I could never say he let us down having not been there myself { along with 99% of the anti giggparrots }it would make me a hypocrite..
