Walking football...

Needless to say a brilliant result yesterday although I don't think we deserved to win especially against 10 men, in saying that I don't believe we deserved to lose to Leicester the previous week - hence 3 points over the two games is fair.

My frustration with yesterday is how slow we are trying to get the ball up the field, I think it was the 81st min and Brighton had a counter attack and committed men forward. We won the ball however had no speed or urgency to counter attack hence let Brighton get back into position to defend. Without Arter we miss that midfield urgency to get the ball played into attacking areas quickly.

Can't fault the win and fingers crossed to more results like that to come.

Don’t agree that we didn’t deserve to win but agree with the counter attack and pace issue. I remember thinking the same thing as you during that piece of play you mention. I think it was Peltier who just strolled over to get the loose ball as though we were 3-0 up. It was crying out for a quick counter attack - so frustrating.

We got the winner in the end so deserved the points but thought we were poor the second half. It isn't easy playing against 10 men but you have to put on as much pressure as possible. It was still a lot of aimless balls and a lot of knock it up and hope. Felt maybe the subs were wrong again, I thought the game was crying out for someone like Ward to make their CB think a bit more.

It always frustrates me seeing Murphy subbed every game. I know he was probably having his worst game of the season so far but he’s always capable of a moment of magic, especially against tiring defenders. Hoilett hasn’t shown anything this season. He just seems to slow everything down and is way too predictable.
