But very slow to get back into position which was masked thanks in particular to an outstanding display by gunnar. Today again the win masked over the cracks, there really wasn't any movement uptop and we never looked like scoring. We seem to get the ball into the final third and then don't know what to do with it so we just cross it. Which is easily defended more often than not. On the other hand we seem to allow the opposition too much time and space up the other end of the pitch. And to be fair it felt like gunner was the only real one who stood out today, he got the ball and dragged the game forward. He got stuck in. Demanded the ball and drove forward.

A possession based game is not something we are comfortable with, it’s not what we are used to and we Can’t play to our strengths. Two banks of four with massive centre halves is difficult to break down, especially for a side like ours. Not sure about cracks it’s the premier league and we are the underdogs it’s where we are meant to be. Gunnarsson was absolutely superb.

I do feel for either full back if Murphy is on your flank as he does FA of the defensive side of the game.
