“ The officials today “

Sat Nov 10, 2018 7:45 pm

Just got back from the game. Really big win for us, think it could be a huge moment in our season.

On the train back I saw highlights of the match.

Have to say I think the officials have a had a shocker today after seeing the highlights, including referee Martin Atkinson. I’ll look at the big moments:

Firstly, I thought the red card was harsh. You can say his studs are showing, but I’ve seen worst fouls than that get just yellow cards this season. If it was one of our players, I’m sure we’d all be feeling hard done by. But I will admit that this is more a decision that may split opinion.

There can be no split opinion about our winner. It should have been disallowed. Bamba is miles offside, and I have no idea how the linesman didn’t put his flag up.

To top off that decision, he was then not booked - despite taking his shirt off. The reason? The referee asked him if he took his shirt off, and Bamba replied no. Bamba was celebrating right next to the same linesman who didn’t put his flag up, yet he didn’t communicate anything to the referee.

All these were good for us and lead to us getting a big win.. but I’ll be surprised if Atkinson and the one linesman are given Premier League fixtures in the next period of fixtures in two weeks.

To be honest I don't care. It's about time we had the rub of the green. Lee Probert Las week couldn't have done more to make sure Leicester had their win

I thought he did quite well.

Without a doubt a red, he wasn't in control and I don't see how he could have given anything other than a red.

Linesman maybe had a shocker, yes it was offside but you can see why it was missed. Unfortunate for BHA but it happens.

Bamba should have been booked for his shirt but that doesn't really make any difference.

2 reasons why bambas goal was good firstly it was a throw in so cannot be offside even though was in offside position at time.... second more importantly the ball is actually headed by defender so again not offside as played onside!

Well he could have given Leicester a penalty and sent off Bamba for that blaitant hand ball so you're wrong there

Its the rub of the green, perhaps it may just be turning in our favour.
A point at Everton would see us pushing on and set us up nicely for Wolves

He gave us everything In last 5 minutes unless I'm mistaken samba scored from throw in? So goal we perfectly ok for 2 reasons I gave? The red card was 50/50 went our way same as ralls didn't.

Just watched the game back.

Definite red card for me. Went in for the challenge with his studs up and caught Cunningham on the shin.

Some prick on Sky called Leroy Rosenior reckoned the BHA player got the ball first - so that makes it ok to follow through with your studs into the player's shins does it you shitcake?

I suppose Rosenior was always going to be critical as a former Brighton player ( and was he a Wurzel as well?) but it would have been nice to have a balance with a pundit with a Cardiff background rather than the token woman who has to be included in almost all football coverage nowadays.

Though having said that both Bellamy and Gabbidon have hardly been supportive when they've been on.

We seem to get much fairer coverage on Match of The Day, surprising though that may seem.

Take it back!! Whilst not offside initially but eventually in move he was offside alongside hoilett. But to be fair lino had hard job seeing it with players in way? But red card definitely even shearer said so? :notworthy:

Vardy was offside when the ball was struck so linesman should have flagged

It wasnt blatant ffs it was ball to hand and there was an offside offence in the lead up to the shot

Manga headed it towards goal and he was offside then.

Yes I have re posted that fact, :thumbright: wasn't until used slow motion that saw 2 city players were offside when manga headed back after 2nd movement.

Yep needed slow motion.

Thank God no VAR.

Should remember this when we are moaning about corrupt officials trying to get us relegated.

Ball to hand!!! his arm was above his head, which means his arm was in an unnatural position therefore penalty :banghead: The offside is meaningless as the point being made was "Lee Probert last week couldn't have done more to make sure Leicester had their win" Lee Probert isn't the linesman is he, so the point im making is he didn't have any unfair bias towards either team. It gets tedious when people keep moaning about refs.
