Trains after the game / bloody rugby

Fri Nov 02, 2018 5:38 pm

Hi
Usually go to town to get the Rhymney train but it’s going to be huge queues tomorrow.
Does anyone know if the service that goes via Grangetown is on as normal so I could get on before the rugby lot ?
Cheers

Cheers I tried the usual but they don’t mention any special measure like queuing system at Central
I’ll give your link a go

Because it's a well run procedure it will be on rail enquiries that's for sure .. I know valley trains are altered international match days but don't know how much by.

Central is usually closed for valley train destinations (treherbert Merthyr Rhymney Aberdare) so you might have to go to queen street to get a valley train.
Grangetown should be open as normal with no que system in place.
That’s the usual plan but check for sure tomorrow

Personal if you could id wait an hour or 2 after the game before taking the train , the rugby finishes just before the football so you'll be at the back of que may aswel wait in the pub rather than the que

They change trains regularly on rugby match day

I’m with the man above, get to the pub, the trains are gonna be horrendous today, I started work at 7.30am today, didn’t get in till 8. The 7am train from Barry cancelled, one after was delayed and had to wait outside Cogan then Central for 5 mins plus.

Transport for Wales have been nothing but a massive joke, in fact less carriages cancellations and delays, worse than Arriva IMO, heres hoping they get better, get to the pub laddy after the game
