" SETTING OURSELVES UP TO LOSE "

Thai flags, holding up our blue scarves, songs. Seems to me the way its heading everyone in that ground saturday will be in support of leicester and will that cause one outcome, a leicester win.

Give them their minutes silence but the more we support leicester the more their players will feed off it and go that extra mile, and it could have the opposite effect to our players , if its all about leicester our players could treat this as a training game and not run through walls for the home crowd. We are setting ourselves up for a loss imo and regardless of the tragedy that happened this was always a good chance to grab 3 points at home.

3 POINTS IS MOST IMPORTANT TO ME THAN ANYTHING ELSE.
THIS IS OUR FORTRESS,OUR BACK YARD SO LETS SUPPORT OUR TEAM AND GET THE 3 POINTS WE NEED.

These are very wise words indeed !
Despite earlier unjustified talk of "must win " games whilst we were still adjusting , we're now getting to a stage where the boys have found their range and we need to begin building some points up. All this bloody nonsense about staging a grief circus of some sort or another is a dangerous distraction.
I'm sure that Sir Neil will be doing his best to get this across to the team but that might be hard with all the surrounding Hoo ha

An interruption to our momentum at this moment could be very dangerous.

We're showing our respect before the game starts and rightly so.

Once the whistle blows I have no doubt that we will be supporting the bluebirds in the same way we've done in every game so far. There is room for both respecting Leicester and supporting our team, it doesn't have to be one or the other.

As much respect i have for Leicester , im going to the game thinking its a normal game and here to get 3 points and thats it - a draw i might take it but rather a win :bluescarf:

I’ll be honest I think that’s complete nonsense.

If we lose maybe it’s because we are playing a better team, Christ already making excuses up for a loss because of a flag, that’s new one on me.

I fully plan on paying my respects before the game as planned but that has nothing to do with the game once it starts.

I don't think so at all, once the game kicks off we will be 100% behind Cardiff - just not before kick off. I don't think it will impact the result.

Fair enough pay some respect before the game kicks off but leave it at that. When the whistle is blown cardiff need to be cardiff like any other game and go for the 3 points. Hopefully neil can get the players fired up.

Maybe im being a bit negative, just see all this tragedy and support for leicester playing into leicesters hands. But its just one of those things i guess and cant be helped. Respect has to be paid i know, i just hope im wrong and we get the 3 points also.

Luke, I'm on board with you on this one...

I'm away at the moment, so won't be at the game. However, I have been watching developments since the tragedy that occurred last weekend and have nothing but sympathy and condolences for Leicester City FC and their owner's family

Sadly, it is a tragedy that can (and has) occurred on other occasions with the big difference being the high profile of the person involved. Would such emphasis be put on it, if the incident had occurred on landing rather than taking off? To me, it seems incidental (in the post incident reporting) that other people were actually involved!

Show respect Leicester City FC and their departed owner before and after the game but it was their choice to play it, once the whistle blows it's business as usual on the pitch

No excuses for either side at that point. There's a game to be played and points to be won! :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Show due respect for the minutes silence before the game but once the game starts we have to give 100% support to the City as we've done so far this season. The Leicester will be up for it and we need to show the same commitment that we've shown so far this season. We need 3 pts from this game

They won’t have trained properly. Some of their players might even be at the funeral.

I expect a win tbh.

The entire squad are flying out after the game for the funeral.

we are not setting ourselves up to lose at all. We are just showing our respects to a brilliant chairman who died in horrific circumstances. If you dont want to join in just stay under the concourse until the game kicks off. It`s that simple ... i used to do it when Soldiers used to march around the pitch every other week a few years ago while everyone stood and clapped like some sort of homecoming. Christ nobody claps me when i come home from work.

If you can’t show some compassion at a time like this, Ifeel sorry for you!

Kasper saw the chopper burst into flames with the occupants inside. And some here think Leicester are getting an advantage from it?? Have a long look at yourself in the mirror if you feel that way.

How anyone can compare the distraction of a few flags and a minute’s silence to the distraction of losing someone in horrific circumstances beggars belief.

My opinion: No excuses. A win is the aim, but that doesn’t stop anyone being a decent human being.

I think the game should have been postponed but Cardiff City has left it up to Leicester so game on ! But at the same time it’s just matter of respect and decency which Cardiff fans will show but we will play to win its 3 points to play fo for both clubs.
