(Cardiff City Supporters Club)
So the City against Leicester has been confirmed for this Saturday. Plenty of ideas being banded about from Cardiff supporters about providing different things or carrying out actions to show respect and pay a tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragic helicopter crash on Saturday.
My personal view is we should do something as a mark of respect to Leicester in their time of loss, and to show the comradely amongst true football fans. However it needs to be proportionate, for the right reasons, and not about look what Cardiff City and their fans done, its about Leicester City FC loss. We need to keep it simple and measured like raising scarfs pictures on the screen, laying wreaths etc But as soon as that whistle for the start of the game we want the three points.
I'm sure Leicester supporters would like to lead the tributes Saturday so time and space should be left to for them as they are the ones who suffered the loss, and perhaps gauge what they would like.
We need to ensure our side of the stadium is full of passionate Cardiff fans who are going to back the team 100 per cent, as Leicester will be fired up for this and they would have already been favourites with the squad of players they have and they have sold out their end who will be vocal. Our team will need our usual passionate support for the duration of the game.
We can show our compassion and caring nature at the appropriate time. I know Leicester City FC and their supporters have been overwhelmed with the support they have received from the football community and a special mention of thanks has been given about Cardif City FC and its supporters already by them.
So get yourselves out in numbers plenty of tickets still available in the home end. Pay our tributes but most of all support our team and players they will need it.

Couldn't agree more. Before the game I will show my respect as its a very sad time for Leicester but as soon as that whistle is blown it's 90 minutes of football and another 3 points we desperately need.

Excellent post..observe the minutes silence, players wear the black armbands and respect any tribute the Leicester fans want to give
After that we’ve got a game to win!!

Vince is spot on.
It’s horrible what happened on Saturday night, but it has to be business as usual once the match kicks off.
I’m sure the two clubs will liaise about a fitting tribute pre-match, after that it has to be about trying to get the three points.

Some excellent posts here and spot on.
It was a dreadful accident and of course our condolences and respect are 100% genuine, but this ridiculous theatrical public indulgence in the sad event is getting out of hand. I think I'd find it quite offensive if the poor man had been close to me in some way actually.
It does occur to me that Liecester supporters, many of whom will be much more upset that us, might not feel inclined to travel to an away match at this point. If they do, then we mustn't expect them to have to witness anyone's virtue signalling antics.
Arm bands and a minutes silence or something, but no one here needs to try and muscle in on the drama.
