Leicester on Saturday

Mon Oct 29, 2018 5:32 pm

With massive tragedy at Leicester at the moment, you've got to wonder how this is going to effect their next few games.

I can't make up my mind whether or not it's going to be a good time to play them, and have a better chance at securing points against a side & club that's still mourning.. Or would they be fighting tooth & nail to put us away in memory of their owner, and make it almost fate to beat us?

I really don't know.

I think it could go both ways tbh hard to call It didn't stop Liverpool winning their semi final when Hillsborough happened.

Either way it's likely to effect their judgement and I don't suppose their own futures are clear at the moment. We obviously do consider these things, but maybe we shouldn't be saying it out loud. I could imagine someone making a story of such comments in the gutter press, so we might think about that before saying too much.

I have to question the whole premise of this thread.

I think it’s an interesting thought. Not the nicest for people who are far too sensitive for their own good, like a lot of this forum. But I’m a realist, and something happing in our league makes me wonder how it will also affect my club.

If it’s a topic people don’t like, then don’t comment or vote, simple as.

You're quite right, but you see what I mean about it being easily misconstrued or vilified in these days of fake grief and virtue signalling ?

I can well imagine some little 20 year old tosser from one of the red tops going on the lines of " heartless Cardiff fans plan to benefit from Leicester's grief" or something, so we must be careful in our words here.

I’ve locked this thread and delete the poll.

Doesn’t seem appropriate at all for this to be on here.
