Referee inconsistencies

Just seen the Fulham game on MOTD and Kamara on a yellow card fouls a player then kicks the ball away and Andre Marriner tells the captain to calm him down. Maybe it was because they were down to 10 men but players have been sent off for less before

Maybe a case of common sense ? Yes kicking ball away is normally a yellow but got to have a bit of sense sometimes especially when player already on yellow. :old:

Sorry mate but I disagree.
Rules are rules and if he commits a yellow card offence then he should get a yellow card regardless of thought of the red card that would follow straigjtvafter. All players , teams should be treated equally whatever the circumstances imho

Just watched it. I think the manner he kicked it away warranted a definite yellow. Wasn't a sly nudge to delay a free kick. Was a frustrated boot through it. Exactly the type that every single player knows is a yellow.

Add that to his disgusting dive. Deserved a red.

Oh well. Enjoying their demise. Woeful. Worst team in the league by a mile. Their chairman sleeping in the stands sums it up!

Their football is most suited to premier league. Hahahahaha. Ace. They're definitely going down!

Think it was way he kicked it that saved him? Obviously wasn't time wasting just frustration at foul being given against him, yes ref could simply have given 2nd yellow but used bit common sense and at least fans could see ref telling him and capt to calm down :old:
And yes in trouble with way they play, 2nd goal only 1 defender actually within 30yds of pen area! :o

Letter of law says he should have walked.
I hate the ‘little word’ thing as that ‘common sense’ approach causes the inconsistency that the OP has pointed out.

Ralls got a red for his obstruction with a leg across the midrift of the winger a few weeks back i watched 2 dreadful tackles from 2 man city players on the box this week on gillette soccer sat they said if that had been cardiff not man city cardiff would be down to 9 men then they all agreed and then laughed and no red cards issued along with the fulham player yesterday not getting a red, ralls got sent off by the baying crowd wanting a red and the ref obliged.

Yes as i said should been 2nd yellow but letter of the law if implemented would see teams down to 8 men regularly! but then every week see things and wonder why officials have made that decision that's why var should not be introduced as it won't change the arguments about what's right or wrong, officials opinion should matter not someone 100miles away looking at super slow motion replays.
