Aaron Ramsey and his wife Colleen have just welcomed twins to their family

Arsenal and Wales star Aaron Ramsey has posted the first pictures of his twin boys on social media.

The midfielder, who looks set to leave the Emirates this summer after seeing contract talks break down recently, pulled out of Wales' clash with the Republic of Ireland earlier this month for family reasons.

It was Wales boss Ryan Giggs who revealed Ramsey and his wife Colleen had welcomed two new additions to their family over the weekend before the Ireland match.

Giggs said ahead of the clash in Dublin: "Good news, he's had two additions to the family over the weekend so huge congratulations to Rambo, he stayed in London with his family. We'd already planned for that."

The Welshman posted the photo to Instagram with the caption "double trouble" with a heart emoji.

Wales went on to win that game in Dublin courtesy of Harry Wilson's solitary goal , although the arrival of the twins is likely to have been cause enough for celebration for Ramsey and childhood sweetheart Colleen.

The pair were married back in 2014 at ceremony at Caldicot Castle, and recently bought a new countryside mansion on the outskirts of Cardiff.

They are already parents to Sonny, who turns three this year.

Ramsey played just 10 minutes from the bench during Arsenal's win over Leicester City on Monday, and his future at the club has continued to be the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with Liverpool and Manchester United mentioned as possible destinations.

Out of interest Rambo has implied that he's going to run down his contract with Arsenal.
If that changes and Arsenal go out to sell him in January would Cardiff have a cut of any transfer fee (or did we naively and incompetently fail to negotiate a sell on clause at the time, like with Ledley and possibly some other players that moved on in that era)?
Perhaps we could negotiate a pre-contract deal with his new born sons??!

no sell on clause but not naïve either...we were desperate for dosh and got the best we could at the time...

I think people are some times too quick to knock things that were correct decisions at the time..i wouldn't have sold Ledley either as we were in a good position in the league...who was to know there would be no summer offer or that he would be out for ages injured..???????
