I Love Warnock but hate all this

Sun Sep 30, 2018 4:57 pm

I love Warnock but I hate all this ‘lets it enjoy it’....’we shouldn’t be here’......’talking up the opposition’

We were dreadful today no purpose apart from Murphy!

Our failure for bringing in quality players has given us no hope! not something I’m enjoying watching at all. What’s the point unless we give it a go......we going down with a record low and it hurts!

Unfortunately, Without a proven top class goalscorer you're pretty much doomed in this division. Even with one of course doesn't guarantee survival.

As for the crowd, a partisan crowd helps to a point but if you don't have the quality in the team to compete then you will struggle. We can talk about hindsight and that we should have done this or that, but the bottom line is we have been very naive in the transfer market and it unfortunately shows.

Rubbish! This had nothing to do with a proven goal scorer. Yes, we need to spend 20 mill on a premiership poacer. But today we had momentum. We controlled the game and had for the first time in ages the possession stats. This was all about tactics and adjusting the balance in the final third. Why the hell do we haveReid on the bench if he is not fit to play? Why the hell do we tie up Camarasa on the right flank? 4-4-1-1 was way to passive today, and that is not Zahore’s fault!

I didn't hear him say it today.

Don't agree with the rest thought we were the much better team. The defensive mistakes cost us.

Totally agree But Warnock is the one who had the shopping list! Maybe he lacked some backing but at the same time the players let him down in defence today.

Camarasa Is playing out of position right wing?
Manga can’t cross never a right back?
Bennett dropped but been playing well?
Zahore been dreadful? Does he even want to play?

Am I the only one seeing this?

We were the much better team today but once again didn't take our chances apart from picking the ball out of the net our keeper had nothing to do 19 shots to 3

Except the cross for the goal.
I don't get the Bennett one either but always felt as soon as we signed Cunningham he was going to try and get him in at some point.

Casamara was one of the better players and agree he is out of position but the problem is we did poor business in the summer and now have a lot of similar midfield players.

My friend who is Wolves fan stated similar to the above.... Cardiff are a bigger club [ support] than Brighton, Huddersfield, Watford, Southampton [?] Bournemouth, though those in charge do not have the business sense to realise this, by not investing and seeking advice/help from those with premiership tactical experience.... :bluescarf:

Let's not getting lured into the stats of the game and saying we were better because at the end of the day it doesn't matter.

'Oh they had 3 shots' yeah and scored 2 and we had 17 shots and scored 1, you cant justify a good performance if we haven't got 3 points at the end of it or the other way around however you say it.

I agree with the OP title and the bits about Warnock, he talks us down because then when we lose a game he can justify it before hand.. don't stand a chance when he feeds the opposition constant praise and knocks individual players in the media and can't even mention a players name when he has been doing well in training that he never thought anything of? What good is that is he giving Burnley problems to think about?

Warnock has done well to play on this just go out and enjoy it because supporters can knock him for it because he ain't bigging us up so these losses can't be questioned because Warnock has got his 'hands tied and can only work with what he got'.

I think there has been games like Newcastle, Arsenal and even today that we can keep ourselves in games and be competitive but if we can't win when we play well then what is there for us?

Zohore has already become a scapegoat despite doing nothing wrong today, we get next to no service in parts of the game and he gets flack for not running around like a headless donkey, the quicker supporters of this club get into their heads you can't expect people over 6ft who play up top to do what Ward does all game the better, anyway over 6ft and is a striker has no hope in hell playing for this club because they constantly get slagged off for doing nothing wrong.

I think alarm bells are now ringing for Warnock and if we keep going like we have past 2 months then he should be let go in December and rightfully so, we are here for a reason and need to be competitive and get results and if Warnock can't do that then I think he deserves criticism and everything he gets and supporters need to stop dwelling on last season to justify anything that happens with Warnock this season because that was last season this is now, I will back Warnock until the day he is not manager of this club anymore but I feel like he gets away with too much because of what he done with us.

The momentum we had was great both from the squad and fans. It felt like we were bouncing from each other. These two goals we've lost were weak, and this is what's disappointing.

Btw. I quite like the way we played corners. Long ball towards Morrison on the opposite side of the post, who instead of shooting plays it back in the middle. Seemed quality. We should have 3 points.

But I agree, I hope Neil will stop saying 'but we had a go' 'let's enjoy it' it was a good attitude for the first few games, now it is a different story, we need to fcukin win a game or two NOW. Being in PL is nothing if we back to championship next year ;)

But it is not over yet! BLUEEEEBIIIIIIIIRRDS :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

By not investing sufficiently to meet the demands of the Premier League in terms of quality. If we have no ambition to better ourselves and develop as a club it's unfair on fans, particularly younger fans who we hope will want to support the club. To my mind it's disingenuous to exploit promotion just for personal gain while pretending otherwise.

not really, you used the word disingenuous when the truth is that describes you more than him.
you do know that our squad was very short on quality going up.
do know we have been hemoraging money for 4 years.
and do know that there are loads of clubs spending between 50 and 100 mill strengthening at the wrong end of this division from much stronger starting points to ourselves..

how much more should Tan have allowed NW to spend 30 mill, 50 mill?..you know thats not enough too.
im frustrated too but you need to be reasonable

Don't understand why camarasa is in the wing either. And Arter has played wide too. They're both central.

And so it begins ......
Fans turn on each other , players , management, etc.

How many said , “I am just going to enjoy this season, it’s a bonus season.......” ...............Sorry, the harsh reality is those statements are rubbish !

The fact is nobody absolutely nobody enjoys losing, not the owner, manager, players or the fans !!
Players start to lose confidence and stop doing the things that made them/us successful, fans pick up on this as “not trying” and start getting on their backs and eventually the manager and his tactics.

Yesterday I thought our support was superb and well done to the Canton for keeping the noise going but It was worth more than 3 points yesterday as a win would have lifted everyone at the club , now we go to Spurs fearing another 3 or 4 goal defeat with an international break following meaning more time for fans to have nothing to do but to post their frustration on here and listen to the media mock our club,

As much as I appreciate what Warnock did for our club last season and thank him for that , I am concerned that pressure may start gathering on him from inside and outside the club during the international break :(

Re: I Love Warnock but hate all this

Look, I'm a realist and always thought that this year would be a struggle. It's certainly not too late to sort this but we do need a change in fortunes pretty quickly.

I was OK until the last couple of games when I've thought that Warnock just simply isn't picking his best team:

Is Cunningham really a better full back than Bennett, particularly at home when we need to create ?
How can you keep picking Bamba and Morrison as the 1st choice centre back pair when Manga is clearly the best centre back at this level ? (both goals yesterday were mistakes by CBs)
Why would you make 3 changes to the back four before a home game against the champions ?
Why play our most talented and creative player (Camarasa) out wide, he needs to be central so we can get him on the ball ?
Why persist with Ralls as holding midfielder when he just hasn't got the attributes, surely Arter is a better ball winner, passer and organiser ?

The positive is that clearly we have room for improvement but the main improvement has to be at the back where we are simply making too many individual mistakes.

It ain't over at this stage but we've put pressure on ourselves now to go out and get a couple of "shock" results to recoup the points that we've lost/missed out on :bluescarf:

The two goals came from their left. Play a FB at FB. Jazz should have been in the side. Why, when we are 2-1 down did he take Kenny off. NW got his use of the bench wrong today and cost us the game. Manga in at CB, Bamba on the bench, Arter holding and Camarasa at the point of a diamond creating. Ralls not good enough.
