Thu Sep 27, 2018 4:02 pm

What Tan spent in 2013-14 Prem season, not as much as some say, yet City earned £62mill in one season, plus then four years parachute, what the f**k, hell did all go???

At the other end of the table, bottom placed Cardiff City earned £62,082,302 for a campaign in which they ended up relegated to the Championship.
Tan also received £65mill in parachute payments and sky tv

WHERE THE MONEY WENT: LIVERPOOL TOP PREMIER LEAGUE PRIZE CASH IN 2013-14

By Sportingintelligence

Liverpool were pipped to the Premier League title by Manchester City on Sunday but official figures released today show they ended the season at No1 in the cash stakes, measured by League ‘prize’ money.

The Merseyside giants earned £97,544,336 from Premier League funds for their 2013-14 campaign, pushing champions Manchester City into second place. City earned £96,578,329. Liverpool earned more than City because 28 of their 38 league games were screened live on TV as opposed to only 25 of City’s and TV appearances are one factor considered.

The top five earners were completed by Chelsea (£94.1m), Arsenal (£92.9m) and Tottenham (£89.7m). Last season’s champions and top earners Manchester United were seventh in this season’s Premier League but sixth highest earners with £89.2m.

At the other end of the table, bottom placed Cardiff City earned £62,082,302 for a campaign in which they ended up relegated to the Championship. Astonishingly this was £1.2m more than United pocketed in 2012-13 for winning the title – with the huge increases this season a result of the lucrative new TV deals now in place.

Certain sources have our spending at the mid £30 million for transfers in that season. Wiki has it at £36 million plus which is a bit of guess work in parts but something to start with.
A lot of them signings were decent value in Premier League terms with Cornelius being the big exception but one that we made some money back on his return to Copenhagen (although City inevitably made a big loss on the fee paid).

how much money did OGS spend on berget and eikrem? only to rip up their contracts. digacoi, immers, le fondre etc.

i think once you go through the spending with a fine tooth comb, you will see it all accounted for (pissed up the wall mainly).

the club has been run terribly in the past few years.

Thankfully none on a pay off for Malky.

There are those that bemoan the current lack of spending who will be critical of the spending during our year in the Prem and the following summer when OGS bought every man and their dogs.

Mate sorry your chatting out of your arse.

Tan doesnt receive a penny of it. The club does. And then it has been going straight back out the door (plus some) on wages and ripping up contracts.

Just take a look at the fully audited accounts, publically availible online. You can see it come in and go out withought going anywhere near tan.

Our debt is only falling due to Tan writing it off. Nothing to do with it being paid it back.

Hard to manipulate figures in this day and age. Everything is checked out by accountants and in the public domain once the audited accounts are published. Somebody would be have to be quite foolish to try and fiddle figures in these modern times. Some have tried, and are usually found out and end up in prison. Doubt if a businessman like Tan would do anything illegal that could ruin his reputation. With the money he has already accumulated, would there be any reason to anything untoward?

The biggest outgoings for most businesses are wages. I'm sure when the next set of accounts are published, everything will be accounted for. If I was a betting man, I would guess that everything is above board and perfectly legitimate.

So tan pockets 60m+ or whatever figure you care to make up, he pays of substantial ammount of debt himself whilst club losing many millions of ££££s a season heared of financial manipulation but he must be the best at doing it. :o
Ps parachute payments cannot be taken by tan league rules don't allow it.
