Great going, only 1000 tickets left

Cardiff City vs. Burnley: fewer than 1,000 tickets remaining!

27/09/18

Don’t miss out - fewer than 1,000 tickets are remaining for Cardiff City’s home clash with Burnley this Sunday.

The Bluebirds have sold out Cardiff City Stadium for their first three Premier League home matches against Newcastle United, Arsenal and Manchester City.

And the City faithful’s fantastic support is set to continue, with tickets selling fast for our clash with the Clarets, which kicks off at 4pm on Sunday, 30th September.

You can purchase tickets online, in person at Cardiff City Stadium or on 0845 345 1400!

Cardiff City’s Executive Director & CEO, Ken Choo, said: “I’d like to place on record my thanks, on behalf of all of us at Cardiff City FC, for your fantastic support.

“We’re set to have more than 30,000 fans at Cardiff City Stadium for the fourth consecutive Premier League game. This is a terrific achievement and testament to you as football fans.

“I look forward to joining you all out there to back the boys on Sunday.”

It.s live on sky and against a team who are not exactly crowd pullers, well done city fans, a tremendous achievement.

Burnley heading for a sell out

Cardiff City have confirmed that this weekend’s clash with Burnley is close to a home sell out, with over 30,000 tickets already sold.

Some 800 fans are set to travel down from Lancashire, and there are believed to be less than 1,000 tickets left for home fans.

The club is urging fans to book now in order to avoid disappointment.

Impressive, I thought we might struggle to get people in for this one.

Shows what a pull the premiership is, if these teams met in the championship on a sunday on sky we would be lucky to get 20k

Good to see, these are the big matches for us - bigger than the games against Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea etc.

I reckon the Flexi tickets have helped. People who want to see Liverpool and Man City have to buy tickets for the lesser teams like Burnley, Newcastle, Brighton etc.

Very good idea from the club to be fair

Hi Paul,

Burnley fans can also pay on the day.

Burnley are a very very small club, always travel big away up North, but never down South.

Be interesting what we take away to them?

Cracking home crowd

As for Burnley bringing 800 we can say nothing didn't even sell out up there when we became champions.

It just goes to show that the spirit and passion shown lately means that people are enjoying it!

Can't wait for Sunday!

Correct Gaffer, we took barely 1,200, out of a 3,500 allocation and it was 3pm on a Saturday, pay on the day and not live on tv.

Just shows Cardiff fans want Premier League football, many not interested in Championship and with a catchment area of 1.5m we should be in Premier League. If we were a regular top 6 side we would be looking at 60k crowds, just a pity we can’t get a big money backer to see our potential is bigger than Chelsea or Manchester City!

So if its usally 3,000 away allocation but with burnley only taking up 800 are all these spares been sold ? allowing for a bit of segregation.

Ref Burnley’s support, lets see what we take up there before criticising.

It’s a long long journey.

Also, don’t forget they’ve just had a couple of games in Europe which would have been more attractive.

I’m just chuffed we are close to selling out. I wonder if they would give us some of the returned tickets to sell.

I honestly was expecting 3/4000 empty home seats and a gate of only 26-27k

Superb from the fans and it shows we are right behind the manager, players and owner :bluescarf:

I love the football not just the day out, but the initial pull for me when I was a kid was that togetherness representing where we came from, who we are what we are about. This sort of shit gets me excited, 30,000 coming to get behind their team city and manager. They certainly ain’t coming for Burnley.

Sunday’s atmosphere will blow the others out of the water. The fans understand it’s a bonus year and the odds are against us and they have responded.

Bring it on.

Sorry annis but it was a 12.30 kick off and it was live on sky, we drew 1-1 with conway scoring for us.
