What do you mean we run out we haven't signed a player on loan permanently from being loaned to us yet

6 months loan is classified as longterm

Because it means Man city can register him in January if Roberto leaves or they pick up a few injuries.

6 months will take us to Mid Feb. By then, we'll either be top, or mid table. Either way we have a decision to make.

1. Find some cash to extend the loan or we're so far ahead that we don't need him and save the money (unlikely)
2. We'll be mid-table, Craig's injured, save ourselves the money.

Or maybe Man City are only prepared to make it 6 months so that they can sell him in January (can they sell him during the transfer window if he's on loan??).
