I do think we are going to see our usual hypocrisy for sure because Gerrard wasn’t popular and ‘deliberately’ missed a penalty.

For me Gerrard was arrogant on and off the pitch for Cardiff, his attitude was awful.
Never gave 100% and thought he was better than he was, did nothing for City.

Former Cardiff City star Anthony Gerrard allegedly sacked by Oldham due to 'racist joke posted in WhatsApp group'
The reasons behind Gerrard's sudden dismissal at Oldham were previously shrouded in mystery
Oldham Athletic sacked former Cardiff City ace Anthony Gerrard for posting a racist joke in a players' WhatsApp group, according to reports.
Gerrard, who made 59 appearances for the Bluebirds between 2009 and 2012, was dismissed by the Latics last month due to what the club described in a statement as "gross misconduct arising from certain social media posts which brought the club into disrepute".
According to The Mirror, the club learned that Gerrard had allegedly posted tasteless joke about the Islamic holy period of Ramadan on a WhatsApp group for players, and took the decision to part with the player with 12 months left on his deal.
The offending post is reportedly being investigated by the FA.
Gerrard, the cousin of Liverpool legend Steven, chose not to appeal the decision by the Latics and has since signed for League Two rivals Carlisle United.
At the time he tweeted: "I think everyone has heard the news regarding myself and OAFC, when I feel the time is right I’ll give my thoughts on it ALL! Can’t wait to get back playing with Carlisle and looking for too the challenge ahead."
Oldham have declined to comment further on the incident.
The centre-back was a key part in Cardiff's march to the 2012 League Cup final, with his penalty shootout miss ultimately handing opponents Liverpool the trophy at Wembley.
A breakdown in the relationship between himself and boss Malky Mackay saw Gerrard sold to Huddersfield Town in August 2012, before spells with Shrewsbury Town and then Oldham.

Am i the only one who thinks Gerrard was a good player for us? When him and Darcy Blake played as CB's in the latter part of the 09-10 Season they were brilliant together and helped us get through to the play offs

In all seriousness I hope that no one who defended Malky for his emails slate Gerrard for this and vice versa.
My view remains that most of us could get absolutely walloped for stuff we wrote in emails, WhatsApp etc. I know from experience how writing something innocuous on Facebook got me in trouble at work. Cost me £300 for a solicitor to put that right.

Regardless of what you think about him you have to look at the context. Annis, do you think malky is racist because of his comments about Kim? or just a bit silly for saying those things on his work email/phone...
