Fair assessment of our play today on motd2

Sun Sep 02, 2018 10:25 pm

All three goals could have been avoided

There second , although at the time was just a brilliant goal , when watching it on motd couldn’t believe Morisson didn’t get near him
Really Enjoyed the game and give me hope the way we played
Onwards and upwards

I said on another post that the defence sat off Aubamayang for that 2nd goal, just can’t do that with strikers of that quality. Arter’s Interception should have gone in, too much power and his volley I think he was already celebrating when he swung at it.

We’ll get there, a lot of promising signs today

I think it was a fair assessment if we are to be considered a Premier league team capable of beating a side like Arsenal.

I don't think they gave us enough credit. The fact is their forwards cost more than our 25 man squad plus the cost of our stadium.

First they write us off, now they are critising us as equals. It's an improvement

Points wise it makes no difference. Today I think we made the mighty arsenal shit themselves and so called experts re think a few things.

Well it’s the first time this season that they’ve talked about us in depth
Although it was criticism the points were all valid imo because I said more or less the same at the time about our defensive play watching the game apart from Morrison not getting near for their second as I didn’t see it as well from where I was sat , I just though it was a brilliant strike but seeing them all again all three could have been avoided ,
In fact it was out defensive play today where we have been so strong which probably let us down , regards Wright’s analysis of our forward play he probably knows better than me and picked up some good points but I was happy in the chances we created and could /should have scored and the way we played
