The ref today

Sun Sep 02, 2018 7:42 pm

Thought he was excellent today. Got almost every decision right and played advantage whenever he could.

All the yellow cards were correctly given and it's always a good sign when you hardly know the ref is there.

Many of us (me included) are quick to have a go at the refs when they're shit so it's only fair to give credit when it's due and I thought he had a good game today.

He's also stood no nonscence with injuries for both sides telling players to get up and stop feigning injury! Don't recall physios treating anyone on pitch? Best ref seen in ages

Only once, think it was Hoilett down in front of the Ninnian Stand, was hard to see from the grandstand corner

Other refs would have given Arsenal more free kicks today, especially in the first half, but is thought he was really fair to both teams today.

Fair play he tried to play the advantage as much as possible and definitely didn't favour Arsenal at all. Shame we won't get many more like him this season

Had a good game also very impartial.

Should have booked arsenal players o4 at least warned them for the time they took over goal celebrations.

Petty I know but in my opinion was a piss take .

Disagree. Inconsistent in many decisions. Played a 20 second advantage first half then bought it back in arsenals favour then in ten minutes later stopped the game to give us a free kick when ward baring down on goal. Second half gave offside against arsenal player who made no effort to play the ball and lacozette would have had a free run on goal. Not bashing him for being anti Cardiff but don't agree he was was great.

incident you mentioned the arsenal player did move towards the ball but stopped when lacozette was in a better position, as soon as he moved towards ball he became active marginal maybe but the lino made the call straight away not ref

My only peev with him was injury time. According to rules 30 secs per sub 30 secs per goal celebration. 5 subs 2mins 30 secs 5 goals 2 mins 30 secs that’s 5 mins for a start. He was pointing to his watch every time arsenal celebrated because they took at least an extra 30 secs. That’s 1 min 30 secs. The trainers were on at least a couple of times so we’ll say a minute. That means there should have been at the very least 7 and a half mins.

Besides that the offside rule is archaic and needs total overall? Lino giving offside a minute after players were in offside position fans no idea what's happening. :old:
