Speed of thought was the difference

Great fighting display today from the lads, never gave up and with a bit of luck could have had a point.

The biggest difference between the two teams was their speed of thought, they would receive the ball and would instincly know where their players were and give the ball straight away we were looking up for our players and holding onto to ball for a split second too long.

Play like this for the rest of the season and we will be fine. Ward is now a must to be our number one striker.

And also the fact that most of our players seem to think that the goals are 25 foot high rather than 8 foot!

Tuesday's training agenda already sorted:-

1. Try to keep shots on goal on the floor rather than pretending it's a rugby conversion
2. Practice better delivery into the box from set pieces
3. Keep trying to teach Ken how to head the ball.

Great effort from all the team today. Arsenal had much more quality but we really gave them a game and I really believe that with better finishing we could have got at least a point from the match.

We can take a lot of encouragement from today's excellent performance.
