Please no Aaron Ramsey songs Sunday

Lets not get behind Rambo too much this time. He's an Arsenal player whose coming to do everything possible to ensure they win!

No harm giving him a clap when his name is read out, but I hope we don't end up singing his name all match again. If we're going to get anything, which is very possible, we need to make it as difficult as possible for Arsenal, not welcoming!

Just my opinion of course :)

Totally agree.

I love Rambo and he is a class player but on Sunday he isnt our player. He will always be loved at Cardiff even if he doesn’t ever come back to play here but we don’t want to be giving the players that will be playing against us any encouragement! We need as much of that ourselves. If we are to get something on Sunday, we need to create a hostile atmosphere, loud and proud and spur the team on. Not worry about what their players are doing. Etc. They won’t show us any respect so let’s not show them any either.

That was embarrassing last time.

Clap him before but not during the game.

What game did he get boo'd on every touch, got subbed off and then received a massive ovation??

Possibly a cup game?
Or have I dreamt that.

It's not as if he has been some great servant of Cardiff City. How many time did he play for us? If I remember he only played a handful of times for us, did he get to 20 appearances? Never understood this love in with him, he had a fleetingly brief period here at the very start of his career. Not as if he is a stalwart of the club with 100 or more appearances behind him.

I seem to remember that happening too but I think the only time we have played them in the cup in recent years was the 0-0 at NP and was he with Arsenal then?

I thought I'd check it out Steve and was shocked by what I saw! Apparently between 2006 to June 2008 (moved to Arsenal) he started 14 League & Cup games for us and also made 8 sub appearances, with a grand total of 2 goals!.

I thought it was around that amount. I had my season ticket back in those days as well, and can remember him coming through the ranks, and although he showed promise, I would have put money on him not reaching the heights that he has. He has turned out far better than I thought he would, although was difficult to judge him based on the handful of appearances he made for us. I would'nt have been going to many away games back then, so if he only played for us around 20 times, I guess only around 10 of those would have been at home. Could'nt understand the fans love of him the last time he played against us, he learnt his trade here, made a few appearances and left.

I'm a huge fan of Rambo but was appalled when he scored two goals against us and lots of fans actually clapped! During the game he plays for the Arseholes not us! We just distract him by chanting 'Do the Ayatollah!' and that's it.

just goes to show how people's opinions can differ then. He had some very ordinary games mixed in with some good ones. He was also only on the bench for quite a few games. The one fact that even you can't argue with is that he played very few games for us, and this hero worship is normally reserved for long serving players like McNaughton, Andy Legg etc.

I think people are proud of the best ever player the club have produced what’s wrong with that?

Won’t be cheering him through the game but like the guy all the same :ayatollah:

Agree and if Dave Jones had a pair of Balls we may have ended up as FA Cup winners in 2008 if he played our best player instead of just bringing him on for the last half an hour. But i will also be on his back every time he has the ball :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:
