Gary Madine

Tue Aug 28, 2018 9:48 pm

Does any one wanna give him a lift back to Bolton? No effort and walked around the pitch all game, shameful performance. Damour was shocking as well. On the bright side Danny Ward looked good, and Manga was excellent.

It's been a disaster and the only reason Tan let's this
colossal waste of money slide is that Warnock made him a decent few Bob more

Have some people only just realised he's crap? I thought he was better than zohore because "he can win headers and rough the defence up"

Between Madine and Zohore we must have the two most ineffective centre forwards in the football league. Ward has to be our main striker, come to think of it he is our ONLY striker.

Big Corn is 10 times the player of Madine.

I've given Madine the benefit of the doubt up to now but his performance last night worries me hugely.

Here we have a player who hasn't had a first team look in, he gets a chance and then ambles around with no real willingness or intent to bust a gut and convince Warnock that he actually wants to be in the first team.

It's never about a lack of ability for me, it's about wanting to improve and give 100% when you get the chance. It would appear that Madine wants neither :banghead:

He's bad but he ain't that bad. Nor did he cost us £10m+ and £45k a week wages 5 years ago

Let’s be honest, we should have cut our losses in the summer, and put that cash in the transfer fund and invested in a decent striker, but that ship has sailed.
I think NW is to loyal to his players and needed to be more ruthless especially as we were promoted to the PL, I could’ve sort of understood if we were still in the Championship and he wanted to give GM another chance, but the PL, no way.

Constructive criticism :ayatollah:

It just about 100% effort there's no ability on show. If put Annis or Mad Dai in a Cardiff strip they would be pasoniate for the shirt but shit in football abity.

Agree, I can't fault the guy for commitment in all fairness.

I really have tried to stay optimistic for Madine but last night I think was the final straw, he got bullied and I think he is a decent striker just not good enough for us.
