I can't see where our first win will come from

Sun Aug 26, 2018 11:30 pm

I'm not trying to goad people here but I honestly can't see us winning a game anytime soon. I said in another thread that wolves will come good and I also said that Fulham will come good. That's the two other clubs that came up with us staying up already, I also said west ham are to good to stay at the bottom of the table they will climb the table for sure. Appart from huddersfield all the other teams at the bottom are better than us. You do the math.

Tan out.

Mate you’ll be given abuse by various members of this board for negative attitude towards our club HOWEVER I am a REALIST – we’re currently on 2 points (Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City next) and no offence to the boys but we don’t stand a chance against those 3, Arsenal are clicking into gear under Emery, Chelsea are relentless with their possession and City well arguably have the best attacking line up in the world. I appreciate Arsenal and City are home games but again they will unlock us.

We could be rock bottom on 2 points within 3 weeks but apparently that’s being too negative – we have Burnley at home after City game so with them in disarray I hope we pick up a win there then head to Spurs looking for a point if possible.

Yes I take some positives from the games we’ve played, we’re passing better however we ain’t creating enough and when we’re creating we cannot finish.

We fight tooth and nail for every ball, that's all we want to see and hopefully a few wins a long the way

I think you mean maths - we are not in America.

Wake up mate we’re sitting 15th in the table, it’s been a great start to the season.
NW has assembled a tough nut of a squad who can blaze a trail for low budget teams in the PL, look upon us as pioneers in 21st century sport.
Personally I like the way we play, old school no nonsense football, none of that tipy tapy, side to side 50 pass in a row, in your own half rubbish. Who wants to watch that for 90 min, not me.

You say "Tan Out", well how do you think that is going to happen ?

By making us a sell-able proposition. He can do that whenever he wants, he just has to decide how much of a loss he is willing to endure.

The premier league money will pay off one or two loan notes to himself. The two "big money" players we have bought (young and English) will probably make us money. I can see a clear strategy.

Warnock massively overachieved last season, we had no right based on the players to me in the premier league. I guess most of us believe Vinny wants out, why would he gamble an extra £30 million when it so tragically failed last time ?

If we achieve 4th from bottom we probably go in a different direction next season. But, my belief is we get relegated without any big salaries, probably sell two or three good performers on at a profit, add an amazing revenue stream via the parachute payments, demonstrated 33K attendances in a modern stadium, good training facilities. So Vinny writes off the remainder of the debt and sells the club sometime next season.

This season will be a battle. I would still be attending if were in the premier league, Championship or L1. We'll probably lose the 10K extras, but we now know they come back if we get to the premier league again.

Guess to have ambitions would be to Invest 60+m ? That's great if can afford it we can't and you know we cannot spend 60+m! But your right can't see win in next 3 games but then we are 3 more games experienced in premiership, and if your right about Fulham/wolves 2 other teams fans are going to go into meltdown as will be relegated.! And could be worse we could be ncastle fans

In his defence he always said there would be no money if we changed back to blue so he's true to his word. We appear to be in a much more solid situation than before he came here so that's positive. However, I think we had better get used to our status as a top Championship cum yo yo club for some time unless and until we find new owners. And that's no disrespect to the man who has kept us afloat in my opinion.

We’re back in the Prem, playing in blue,
goals will come this much is true,
have a little faith,
in Warnock we trust.

Tan is the man,
He’s realised his mistake,
with this squad and manager
he knows what it takes.

3 games in and you’re calling for his head,
let’s see where we are at Christmas,
we know it’s gonna be hard on this long road ahead.

Goals will come just like last year,
With Arter and Camarasa feeding midfield,
there’s plenty of options for Warnock to yield,
Just look at the bench there’s options to play
and lads with injuries waiting to get back

Don’t count us out
We’ve been here before
City as one
Let us all roar
:bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Ok not a perfect attempt but you get the point

Can’t say I’ve been the most positive when it comes to what we’ve done in the summer transfer window and how Warnock has spent the money At his disposal... but when Morrison misses an easy chance like he did on Saturday who do you blame?

Plenty of things to be positive about if you want to be so far.

Huddersfield, Southampton and especially Burnley all not looking too clever at the moment either

Friend of mine is an Evertonian who criticised us last time we were in the PL for not having a proven goalscorer with PL experience and predicted we'd go straight back down. He cannot believe we've made the same mistake once again.

I think Gary Madine could be a right pain for defenders in and around the penalty box and should be a given a run of games. On the evidence thus far re Zohore, the jury is still out. I wouldn't start him but bring him on with 30 minutes to go. Ward could well surprise this season as well.

We live in hope at the moment but come January, I have little doubt a striker will be bought.

Bet you’re a fun person to be around. Literally every single one of your posts is negative.

Should we all just give up now after 3 games then Is it!? After all that effort last year. Just try and enjoy the ride whilst we are here.

your mate needs to have a reality check..the last time we were in the prem Everton hadnt had a striker that got a dozen goals for about 6 seasons with people like cahil and felani as top scorers and were dead lucky that season to get Lukaku on loan...

now if a club like Everton who have been there forever havent got proven goalscorers with prem experience for 6 year stints ,where on earth does he think newly promoted teams are going to find them.?

i think its a lot less certain now than 1 month ago...we wouldnt compete ,go down with record low points...well we have 2 points and 2 clean sheets ...and have been competitive ,all be it down to resolute defending in all 3 games but despite seemingly being under siege for long periods Etheridge really hasnt been that busy....currently the prem keeper with the TENTH amount of saves made..TENTH..

Me thinks that stat will change after the next three games.
