“ NEIL WARNOCK PRAISES HIS TEAM “

Sat Aug 25, 2018 6:52 pm

Neil Warnock praised his side’s positivity following Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Huddersfield Town.

Saturday 25th August 2018

The Bluebirds secured another Premier League point at John Smith’s Stadium, though had fate been on their side, could have taken all three.

Speaking to press and media after the game, the Gaffer said: “I thought we looked a bit nervous in the first half and I was a bit disappointed really as I thought we could have done more with the possession we had. But Neil [Etheridge] hasn’t had a shot to save in fairness.

“I thought we started the second half a lot better having made a couple of changes at half time, even before the sending off.

“We were very positive and should have won the game; we have to take our chances though.”

Injury to Nathaniel Mendez-Laing in the opening exchanges put a dampener on proceedings, with the winger stretchered off following a collision with Town ‘keeper Ben Hamer.

Hamer would also leave the field, albeit un-aided, with substitute stopper Jonas Lössl taking to the field.

“We’re not sure how Nathaniel is at this stage,” said Neil. “We’ll have to assess him after the swelling goes down in a couple of days, but it didn’t look good.

“We didn’t have any obvious wide options on the bench with Junior [Hoilett] missing today, but I thought Pato [Callum Paterson] did well.”

The Bluebirds host Norwich City in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, before Arsenal visit Cardiff City Stadium in next Sunday’s 1.30pm kick-off.

And whilst City are still searching their first win in the top-flight, the Gaffer re-iterated the positive momentum that they can take from Saturday’s fixture in to a tough September.

“On another day we would have won; Moz [Sean Morrison] usually buries those and I think Bobby [Decordova-Reid] had a decent chance,” the Manager continued. “You’d take a point away from home, but I was disappointed not to take the three today.

“A lot of people thought Huddersfield may get their first win today, but we protected our goalkeeper ever so well and the longer the game went on the better we were.”

Same shite Neil, I love you to bits but Pato was awful, and Madine should have came on when they went down to 10

We will lose our next 3 games then staring down barrel with 2 from a possible 18

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, don’t need to be slandered for it. If we’re talking real life mate I’d suggest you brush up with your grammar as it’s absolutely appalling.

Nice one Bobby Dazzler

Oh dear you’ve derailed the positivity train

I agree it’s not looking too good, and most level headed fans feel the same

Most level headed fans dont throw their toys out the pram, and start having a meltdown after 3 games when we're 14th and had 2 clean sheets in a row like yourself. I mean what did you expect us to do this season? top 10, winning every other game, dominating teams that have been in the prem for years. :banghead:
