MY THOUGHTS: A RED CARD BUT NO PENALTY FOR CARDIFF

Sat Aug 25, 2018 4:27 pm

The Bluebirds was shocked because contraversy came agains knocking on the door and the camera was going away from what happened in the box after a corner the referee ignored everything in the box and ran towards where the action was on the sideline further up the pitch. If a red card is given there should be a penalty and Cardiff never had a penalty instead the referee went to the linesman and he gave his verdict to the ref.

In my opinion Cardiff should off got a penalty with the red card to the Huddersfield player. instead the ref was blind from it all and gave Arter a yellow for what???? faling over after a headbut come on.

Seemed to me Arter squared up to him which resulted in a yellow card and a free kick to Huddersfield and the red was the result of the push after.

All seemed correct to me.

Yes if ref blew for foul by arter he cannot give pen! Did Huddersfield have the free kick?

Just seen it again on MOTD2 and to me it seems a foul first from Hogg. Would be interesting to see what the ref reports says and when exactly the free kick against arter was given.

Looked at it from sky game and ref clearly signals a free kick to Huddersfield by pointing the way of free kick after talking to linesman, he then books arter before giving red card

Yeah he def gives the free kick to Huddersfield but then I wonder at what point he thinks the arter foul is, thought Hogg initiated it looking again.

OK so final thought is, Hogg holds Arter but no pen given, this make arter react slightly, free kick to Huddersfield then hoggs reaction and push makes it a red.

Trouble is its like a rugby scrum now near or in the box and officials are doing sfa about it, presume lino told ref arter had fouled Hogg before the incident so free kick awarded ! after ref spoke to lino he pointed to a free kick to Huddersfield and dished out yellow card for arter as not serious enough for red but deemed Hogg was violent hence red, ref just going by rules that cannot change original decision although think was case to over rule lino and award pen which he could have done :old:

Ref got it right unfortunately, Arter's backing into Hogg looking for the pen in my opinion, Hogg overreacts following the foul after hence the red and the yellow to Arter.
