Madine and Reid should certainly start with Zohore and Ward on the bench to come on early in the second half and say to them all,prove to me you want to play against Arsenal!

I don’t think that would do his confidence much good would it? I believe Zohore is a better striker than Madine or Ward. He is not strong in the air however he runs and runs, holds the ball up well and has a decent shot with him. I think a goal would do his confidence a power of good and he would go from strength to strength. We still need a proven striker in January regardless (that’s if we can get one to come to City).

To be honest he could be full of confidence and he still wouldn't have got a goal today, he literally had no service the entire time he was on.

The other week MOTD did a section on how arsenal play a high line, and Chelsea were getting though with ease over and over with the simplest of through balls. Arsenal may have improved since but still shipping goals and if they underestimate us we have a chance. For me it's Zohore and Reid.

High line will surely be better with 2 wingers and the 3 central kids like we've used last two games. 10 through the middle won't be as effective as the diagonals to Murphy and Hoillet/NML?

I didn't watch the game sorry. But yes, we need some fast counter attacking options, out wide, through the middle, everywhere! Shame NML got injured yesterday, think he would've shone with the extra space. Hope his injury ain't too bad.

Time to give other players in the squad a game in this one .

Agree we’ve got to change whole team to give others a chance with a place against Arsenal the reward otherwise how will we know our squad strength?

Do we have to field anything like a first team for this ?

I know there are rules which mean you can get fined for nor putting a good team out in some competitions, but I don't know whether they apply here.
If possible we should put the u 23 team out or something because we've got far more important things to be doing and we
certainly don't want any injuries from a game like this .

I think it's the perfect game to get players who haven't been starting game time. Likes of cub smithies, cunningham, connelly, Richards, Peltier, Demour, Harris, Reid, Medine, Ward can only benfit form a competitive game.
