Strikers we COULD have signed

Hope one of our strikers can step up and score us the goals but with our budget i think we could have pushed the boat out and sign someone better than what we currently have now and for me neil warnock has no excuses. Spent 10million on reid who he mentioned as being a utility man the other day and around 6million on a back up goalie and back up left back, we should habe signed at least one striker as it dosent look like reid is going to be trusted there already imo. This isnt meant to be a negative post because i support our current boys and hope they can do enough to keep us up but here are quite a few strikers who if we really really tried we surely could have got and all are arguably better than what we have now imo....

I think that the club will bring in or attempt to bring in a decent striker in January. Think that they learnt quite soon that they didn’t have the best transfer window possible. All down to money. You can add a few names on top of that:
Musa & Slimani from Leicester
Mitrovic from Newcastle
Perez from Arsenal 4m!
Many more

Just hope that Ken can start hitting the net & we strengthen in January.

Please don't start negging out Bobby Reid before he's even started ! He's not an out and out striker who was ever intended to be an alternative to Ken. Very few of those players seem especially worth having, and certainly not at the prices which would have been required - and there is only so much money you know. It's all very well saying we should have bought Ronaldo, but where's the money coming from ?
I do agree that it'd have been better to have also strengthened that area, but I also understand that since I'm not paying the fee I can't expect unlimited buying in.

This wasnt a negative post having a go at anyone, i was just making a point that we should have taken a pint on atleast one of them strikers who are proven to be bale to finish and score goals, striker should have been a priority in the window and we failed to get one and their were defintiely options out there. You also have to ask how many of those names were desperate to come to the bright lights of S Wales. Not just a matter of identifying a player who we can afford and who will fit in, you also have to persuade him to come to an unfashionable club and spend a season fighting against relegation. Hopefully, Zohore will come good, I know that a lot of fans on this forum seem to be convinced he will do the business. Time will tell I guess.

Most of those are championship players that Reid outscored in a shit Brizzle team

We bought Murphy and Reid to chip in goals. The idea is to have good young English players who have great resell value or will be ready for next seasons promotion campaign.

For most of the game we played an organised disciplined game with little decent ball through to the front. I don’t think any of those names would have made a difference. When they went to 10 THEY went organised and disciplined. We haven’t didn’t really have many clear cut chances. I think as the midfield gels more together they will start controlling more from the off and we should see more chances coming. It’s clear what Warnock is doing. He’s keeping us together and fighting. Goals will come. We may not be heading the goals for but it’s still early days.

That danny ward chance near the end i guarantee you a lot of the names on the list would have smashed that ball into the net, that is the small margains we are looking at here, thats the difference between 3 points and 1, thats the difference betweeen staying up and going down.

I dont think we need an actual proven premier league goalscorer. What i am saying is we need a clinical finisher who will put the ball in the net whenever the chances come. Can you honestly say that you have confidence in any of our curret strikers to do that?

None of those players would have come here for £30k/wk when they could have got £60k/wk at Huddersfield.
