Rafa Benitez on Cardiff

“They have the team spirit that you need to compete."

“If we managed the ball better maybe we could have had more clear cut chances."

“But if they can keep fighting in the way they do, sometimes a corner goes in and changes the game, or a throw-in or a free-kick, they have the tools to compete and to win.”

Fair play raffa. He wasn't happy with the ref, so I may have expected some bitterness toward us but at least he recognised we can more than compete in this league. I'll take it as a compliment!

What a load of nonsense. Usual rubbish about fighting spirit blah, blah, blah. Newcastle were one of the dirtiest sides we have played for a long time. Unfortunately Arters rush of blood gave the media and Rafa the chance to make out it was a case of six of one and half a dozen of the other which was far from the truth. Newcastle did all the could to stop us from playing through Murphy in particular.

Yes, and am I being biased in thinking the decisions seemed to go their way after the sending off?

He also seemed to have 'buried the proverbial hatchet' with Neil Warnock, which is always good :ayatollah:
