New Striker

I don't know if I am living in a alternative universe or something but seeing so many posts how we need a new striker but haven't we spend over a 1/3 of our transfer budget on bobby reid, who had more goals/assists combined then any player in the championship last season  . strengthening midfield due to players leaving this summer was the priority and we've done that so lets see how good this squad can do. :ayatollah:

Will he play reid as our main striker though? Be cool if he did because he can score goals but thought he would be looking to play reid as a 10 off a striker, unless neils changed his mind

That’s what the doom and gloomers who follow city are like mate

We had people talking like we were going to start the season with Jazz an Bamba in midfield and Madine as a lone striker.

In fairness even after signing Reid the manager had been saying that he was still looking for a striker and therefore it's doubtful that Bobby would have been bought as an out and out striker.

I do wonder whether Warnock changed his priorities once he saw how well Murphy and Reid played upfront against Real Betis.

With those two able to play upfront as well as Zohore and Madine maybe he thinks he’s got enough to get to January at least.

Without a midfield it wouldn’t have mattered who we have up front! I think with some quality in the middle we may see our existing forwards doing much better. Zohore has done well before. Madine really is an unknown quantity for us. He deserves at least a chance. Pilks May be our of favour but he knows how to score and is a complete professional for us. We haven’t really been a team based around one person scoring. We have goals throughout the side.
