Transfer Deadline Day is upon us.

Premier League and EFL clubs have until 5pm on Thursday, August 9th to submit all the necessary paperwork to complete transfers - the last chance to sign players until January. EFL clubs can make loan signings and free transfers until the end of the month.

Cardiff City are expected to make at least one signing on Deadline Day, possibly more. Victor Camarasa, Harry Arter, Fernando Forestieri, Alvaro Negredo and Tom Huddlestone are amongst the names to be linked in recent days.

He has travelled to Cardiff this evening, to finalise a Deadline Day move to the South Wales capital.

This time it’s Wales midfielder Andy King, who is expected to leave Leicester on loan today.

If Cardiff do go for King on loan along with Camarasa, that would mean that no more loan signings could come in.

Didn't it used to be at 11pm? Much prefer that so I can watch them come in after work!!!

We've had strong links with a loan move for both Victor Caramasa from Real Betis and Harry Arter from Bournemouth - both are creative midfielders, an area Neil Warnock needs to strengthen. Given a choice Harry Arter looks the better out of the two with his Premier League experience and a better goal scoring record.

A loan move would be good for Cardiff with the club not over committing financially if survival is not achieved. Bournemouth have strengthened in midfield, and Real Betis are also strong in that area, so may be keen to get them off the books for a season.

Let’s hope Warnock and the club can get the deals across the line

Victor Camarasa has passed his medical at Cardiff, his agent has said, and will train with his team-mates today ahead of his unveiling.

This is all very nail biting stuff.

No idea why they leave these things to the last minute and I keep trying to avoid looking at sources for updates .
At least they seem to have one competent midfielder at this point, so that's the most urgent thing done. They're saying that Arter has said no, but that's based upon one comment on yahoo.
It'd be good to get another midfielder, almost anyone available at this point actually and of course a proven striker would be nice too.

Actually though, whilst I'm hoping for developments I think I'll just be glad when it's 5pm and we know for definite what we've got to work with . After that we can stop speculating and just get on with it .

I think we've reached the minimum requirement though
