All I can think of is the new contract doesn't have same clauses such as appearance bonuses as his present one does?

NW mentioned that Grujic could still play in League/FA Cup ties and Champions League fixtures even if he wasn't included in the PL 25 man squad. Also if he came to us I suppose those bonuses would be payable but not if he signs a new deal.

TBH I can't see it being but that but I just can't think of anything else and it was also mentioned that his agent was a cause of some of the problems.

I really think that he will sign for us this week, either he will accept the extended contract, or Klopp will change his mind and let him go on loan with no extension to his contract. I cannot blame Grujic , he is looking at either sitting on the bench for 3 years or extending his contract to 5 years, and sitting on the bench. Before the deadline he will probably be told he is not in the 25 man squad if he has not already been told, and as the deadline gets nearer, I think one or the other will
give in!
