Our stats v Real Betis

Mon Aug 06, 2018 8:48 am

The same as last season that got us promoted. Limited Posession but more attacks and chances created than the opposition. I think people worry far too much about this 'creative midfielder' we need.
Whoever this player maybe will probably still get overrun by world class players and we'd struggle to get the ball to this creative player to make chances.
We have our way of playing which isn't 'hit and hope. It's effective and we'll have a good crack at surprising some aides this season

Yeah. Thought we did well with the counter attacking.

One thing I would still say is we had a lot of wasted corners. Delivery needs to improve. And we'll be an even bigger threat here.

Its pace in midfield we need. If this player has pace and creativity that would be a huge bonus. We have good pace out wide and up front but Ralls, Gunna and Patterson are too slow for the prem. Pace, pace, pace is what is needed. I think NW will bring in three players before Thursdays deadline.

I think we have tonnes of pace. We will break from wide with players like Murphy, hoilett, kadeem and Mendez.
Plus ken and Bobby are both quick. I don't think pace through the middle is essential. Joe ralls has a good engine and I wouldn't say he'd be much slower getting back than midfielders at top clubs.

We need more players as simple as.
Any injuries to the midfield 3 and we will have to play with 6 wingers :-)

If we'd taken our chances we'd have won. Patterson, Murphy and Cunningham(right at the end) all had really good opportunities to score. We are seriously weak in midfield however and need two players urgently, one a specialist holding player.

I'm wondering which player Warnock is going to convert to a midfielder next :-D

Correct, we did indeed lose 2-1 to the side who finished 6th in la liga last season, but it was a friendly after all.

We are a premier team now, so basically your saying everyone from 6th up in the prem we should lose to at home.

Am I really saying that? I'm pretty sure I said the result means nothing in a friendly

But on the other hand, the typical top 6 of man city, man utd, Liverpool, arsenal, Chelsea and spurs would definitely expect to beat us both home and away

There’s the difference 8 shots 1 goal v 3 shots 2 goals we won’t get 8 cahances in the prem

Don't forget we didn't start a striker. We will make chances, our direct style of play will ensure that
