W@nker in 118 Ninian Stand

Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:54 pm

At yesterday's game against Real Beis when we conceded the second goal a fan to my left aged about 50 I reckon wearing a Cardiff shirt got up and went down under the stand.

As he walked down he shouted to Etheridge " your f""king sh1t" "f""king crap keeper" and "get out of our club"

This is the kind of city fan I truly despise, hadn't a clue about football and thinks it acceptable to behave like that.

There clearly not fans. Just bellends. Expect to see quite a few this season.

Might be the same one who was in block 101, he was an oldish fella wearing a City shirt with the name SHERWOOD on the back and number 57. I was in that block and I could see the ball was deflected passed Etheridge by Bamba right in front of him, there was nothing he could do about it. Maybe if the idiot sees the highlights he will see it was an own goal be Bamba. Prick

didnt see the game but did read a post on here last night about Etheridge needing coaching re going down to collect the ball as he had done the splits.
then watched highlights today..waw it was pushed passed him from like a yard totally diverting the ball from the path it was taking..if fans are going to be blaming for that they are going to have a really miserable season..

Etheridge should have shouted for that in fairness

perhaps he did? bamba apoliges to him after the goal
one fantastic save in the second half, number 1 in my opinion

That was me who posted that comment.
I still stand by it was poor goalkeeping after seeing it a few times. No goalkeeper should leave his legs open like that especially a proffesional keeper. If his right leg was kneeling underneath his body lime its supposed to that deflection would not have gone in

that's him I couldn't remember the name on the back as he was sideways to us.

It was 101 I'm usually in the Canton but went for a different view Saturday.

And NW gave him a bit of a talking to after that. Think everyone saw that as more of Bamba's fault than Etheridge's. Apart from the knob mentioned above.

Hopefully the regulars will shout down any of this nonsense this season.
Enjoy the ride and the target is 34 points or enough to finish 4th bottom.

As a keeper myself, you cannot react from that distance, you can get lucky if the ball hits you but can’t readjust. Bamba has made an attempt to play it diverting it, he is absolutely faultless. But then it’s etheridge, been a scapegoat for some since he joined.

i figured both the chap in ground and the fella on here might have not seen the deflection when i watched highlights..but apparently the fella on here did..??????????
and yes he is and will continue to be some peoples scapegoat.

I am glad that I was not a keeper when I played regularly. I am no expert on goalkeeping having never played there, but looking at the replays, it looks to me as if he would have had to have almost super- human reflexes to have dealt with that deflection. Just one of those unlucky moments that often happen in this game. Has not cost us any points, as far as I am concerned we just move on and look forward to the games that actually count for something.
