Midfield

Just got back from the Real Bettis game and we were completely out played. Our midfield was non existant. Only Ralls looked like he could do a job there. We are desperate for 2 new midfielders who can put their foot other ball and control the game. Real Bettis must have had 80% of the possession, while Al we did was pump the ball upfield and hoped to get on the end of it. Must get 2 new players or we are in for a tough season.

Yup, it's been obvious since last season where we needed to strength and I'm amazed it hasn't been a priority.

Ralls is nowhere near as good as he is made out to be, only Ralls continuously loses his man, marks no one is not great in possession and how many corners didn’t clear the first defender when he took them. Ralls is not as good as many on here make him out to be.

I watched yeestday and I watched Ralls closely as I have never understood why he never gets criticised and I still don’t see why not. When you have players tracking and marking you have to stay with your man or pass him on if you go to press, Ralls doesn’t, he quite often places himself into space marking no one and not pressing putting pressure on others around him, great if we get the ball, not great when you spend large parts of the game without the ball.
