City Missed a Trick?

With NW stating that City had missed out on a few targets whilst waiting for Grujic to sign have City missed a trick?

Clearly the club were very confident/convinced that Grujic would sign but as time dragged on should they have looked elsewhere? There was some suggestion that a time limit had been given for the deal to be tied up but City went well beyond that.

With the transfer window closing on Thursday the pressure is now on City to bring in some players and this may result in them having to splash a bit more cash than what they wanted. Brought in Murphy, Reid, Cunningham & Smithies in relatively quick time but nothing for a long time. Many potential targets have probably been snapped up by other clubs.

It’s going to be an interesting few days.
